Andrew's Field
Andrew's field is beautiful and idyllic but has limited facilities, it has a tap for drinking water, and waste water disposal point (ELSan). There is no electricity on site. The best things about the field: Peaceful and unspoiled Close to nature -wild deer often wander through the filed to drink from the river. The field is an excellent place for bird watching; Kingfishers, Cuckoos and Woodpeckers are regularly seen. We have a Little Owl in the area which is a little more elusive. If you camp you can fish for free on the River Avon. You can launch Kayaks/ canoes directly from the field into the river Avon - a great place to start your adventure. Family run - the field is run by Andrew and his family who are thrilled that campers take joy in the beauty of their field, they can give you local hints and tips and are always happy to help. Camp fires are allowed - so it properly feels like camping. The field is still a hidden gem and therefore does not get overcrowded. The field has beautiful vistas in all directions and is South facing so warms up nicely when the sun is out whilst benefiting from the cooling breeze from the river. You can walk to three pubs from the campsite. The limited facilities means it is most suited to caravans and campervans however if you have a tent and a camping toilet you are welcome to come. - No loud music onsite - Dogs to be under control at all times. They are not free to roam the site and all mess taken with you. There is a dog poo bin on the lane. - Noise to a minimum after 22:00 - No night fishing - Please be respectful of other campers - Please don't put wet wipes or dog poo bags down the elsan (CDP) - Please take all your rubbish with you. - Firepits are allowed but must be off the floor.
Merrydown Camping Certificated Site
Merrydown is close to the Devon and Dorset coast, rural towns and villages and easily accessible from the A35 and A303. Our highly convenient location within Blackdown Hills area of Outstanding Natural Beauty means that the thriving town of Lyme Regis is just 15 minutes away; Exeter and Taunton are just a 30-minute drive away. It’s a great place for either a one-night stopover or longer stay. Beautiful rural views of Danes Hill and occasional visits from deer and many rabbits will add to your stay. The Taunton Cross bus stop is just a short walk away and the number 4 route gives hourly good access to Axminster, Honiton, Ottery St.Mary and Exeter. Dogs are welcome. Please add them at checkout. Please let us know in advance if you will be coming in a tent/ caravan/ motorhome so we can allocate the best pitch for you. If you are staying in our Shepherd's hut ot loft you do not need to be a CC Member, please add random code in the box when prompted. Enjoy a break away for all with beautiful countryside views!

With all the creature comforts you need for a relaxing stay provided, we're sure you'll leave refreshed and relaxed. Just bring along your clothes, Towels and food, we will provide the rest. Our Luxury tents can accommodate between 4-6 people so are ideal for a family staycation. We provide Beds, Bedding, Wood Burner, Cutlery, Plates & Cups, BBQ, seating area and of course a Kettle! . On-Site we have fully equipped showers and WC's There are countless walks on our doorstep where you can enjoy the stunning Shropshire countryside or observe the wildlife along the Montgomery canal. For the more adventurous Kayaking, paddleboarding, paintballing or even Go-karting are available at a number of locations locally. For shopping and dining, you can try the local market town of Oswestry or venture to the picturesque medieval towns of Shrewsbury and Chester, both definitely worth a visit. A five minute walk away the Queens Head Public House offers a superb home-cooked menu accompanied by a variety of local ales.
Holyrood Farm Campsite
Ideally located on the edges of Shaftesbury, this family-friendly campsite is perfect for those looking to sit back and relax with stretching countryside views. You’ll be on a secluded working farm, so be sure to say hello to the resident sheep, alpacas, cows and pigs. Enjoy a back-to-basics stay where you can light a fire and toast marshmallows in the evening.
