WHERE WOULDNT YOU STAY EVER AGAIN
I have stayed in a hotel in Istanbul in 2004 near Gaziosman pasa area, i dont remember the name of the hotel as i hated it too much but if i see the hotel i would be able to tell you its that one.

The Staff and the stuff were really nasty, That wasnt even a budget hotel but everyone in the hotel was receptionist , everyone was waiter, so the guy who just cleaned your toilet was serving your food. with the same clothes on.

Arggh, dont even wanna remember,

You guys got any hotels you wouldnt stay ?

I wouldnt stay in the Hotel Tour Kalef in Sousse, Tunisia again, it was a complete hell hole with the same entertainment (i use the term loosely) every night. In fact i wouldnt visit the country again if you paid me**

RE: WHERE WOULDNT YOU STAY EVER AGAIN
As I said in another thread I would not stay at the Adler apts in Icmeler unless there was a change of owner. We did not have hot water at all during our stay in the 14 days, wasn't even warm, not morning, noon or night and my elderly Mother had to get cold showers. After a few complaints from me and many promises of hot water he was going to kick me out and I had to ring the holiday rep. My Mum also got locked for hours on the balcony as the catch on the balcony door was faulty, our main door into the apartment which was also faulty was "fixed" by the "technician" who turned out to be a waiter with a hammer who of course made it worse and we had to be moved and pack and unpack again to an upstairs room which was an effort for my Mum with the stairs every day. Also the kettle, cooker and fridge were well past it, kettle switched itself off long before boiling, as did the next 2 they replaced it with, everyone staying had same problem. hotplate knobs kept falling off and the fridge was hit and miss- some days it worked, some days it didn't. The apartments were fine but nothing worked, the staff were lovely, so apologetic and sweet but rather helpless, the owners attitude was disgusting and if I walked into any other establishment that he ran I would walk right out again. he had no respect for my Mother's comfort at all which is really unusual as all other Turkish people cannot do enough for my Mum and have so much respect.

I think owner must be the Turkish Basil Faulty!

Without geography, you're nowhere.

RE: WHERE WOULDNT YOU STAY EVER AGAIN
We stayed in a hotel called The hotel Golf trinidad in Roquetas de Mar, It was late January and we'd only booked last minute, nevertheless we paid full price for half board.
It was dire, there were old fashioned wooden slatted windows that didn't close and the wind whistled through them. All the rooms were freezing. The food was abysmal too, some sort of meat that you wouldn't even throw to a dog. All the food was in warmish water and insipid.
Quite a few couples who had booked for 2 weeks left to pay to stay at another hotel, as we were only there for a week we stayed put unfortunately. There was a party of about 16 nuns and I stood behind them waiting to speak to the rep, they were sworn at and left in tears.
It really was the hotel from hell, it was with Airtours and I know everyone was going to write and complain. After several letters all we got was a voucher for £50 to spend on another Airtours holiday.....well we vowed there and then that we'd never go with them ever again.

That's not much compensation if anything it is just a way of them makeing more money out of you. Travelled with Airtours a couple of time in the past it's been OK just a typical package holiday, the reps are there to selll you things and that is it. I prefer to go it on my own now.

RE: WHERE WOULDNT YOU STAY EVER AGAIN
Interesting that Steve. Tonight I went out to my club and the guys there were asking me about our holidays. They were surprised at how little I'd payed for our stay. When I explained about how I book these days, (On line) they were surprised at how cheap holidays have become.
Last year I paid £1100 for one week H/B. This year I paid £670 for the same flights, same hotel, but independantly on line. My mate is booking with the same company that I always book with (Kwik Travel) next week.
