The 'other' side

The 'other' side
I noticed that the 'other' side have won an award for customer service. Absolutely amazed, as last year 5 of us went to book some trips with them. We had not been drinking, we were happy and pleasant and eager to book some trips. Donna was there at her desk, and never even acknowledged our presence...she just carried on doing what she was doing. We stood there quietly for 5-10 minutes, and then all of a sudden she swung around. Not a smile or a hello. We told her that we wanted to book some trips with her, and she told us to go and book our trips else where, and we would probably get them cheaper. Gobsmacked or what! None of us had ever been treated so rudely by someone who is supposed to be one of the front line faces of a business. We walked out of the office in silence and toddled straight down the road to Icmeler Travel, and promptly spent almost £300 on different trips and had an absolutely wonderful time. My hubby says that we will never use Icmeler On-line to book trip as long as we visit Icmeler. Has anybody else had this treatment from them?

Thanks Erik. Glad that we weren't the only ones. We wondered what the heck we had done wrong. Oh well, they won't be getting our trade again this year Sad

RE: The 'other' side
I have never booked with them for anything and don't intent to. The reason for this was when I first joined Icemeler Online and didn't know the rules I mentioned about my holiday I booked and how cheap it was I honestly had no idea this couldn't be done as a forum should be a forum where you can discuss what you like, Anyway John (Admin) sent me a very abusive PM telling me if I ever did it again I would be banned. A polite word would of been enough so how they can win a customer service word is beyond me. In my opinion they are very expensive and the exact same can be got a lot cheaper.

Hi Steve. Well...that's bloomin' charming isn't it! Hopefully they will learn one day that people do have the right to an opinion other than the one they want you to have, and that we have the right to book our holiday with whoever we want. So folks...USE ICMELER TRAVEL Big Grin

RE: The 'other' side
Nothing bad I hear about "the other side" surprises me, have been disgusted at the way they lock threads and remove posts for no reason. There is no abuse, swearing or nothing offensive but they still lock threads and remove posts if is something they do not agree with, Am beginning to think they benefit in some way from certain places as they do not like honest opinions and criticism if someone has had bad service from anywhere they seem to favour. I think they are not so bothered about the holidaymakers as making £££££££££'s!! Sad

Without geography, you're nowhere.

RE: The 'other' side
My experience with the "other" side, last year we booked transfers with them,we waited about 30 minutes at the airport for about 5 other couples using the transfer,we was the last to be dropped off only to be asked by the driver why we didnt have any luggage!!panic set in,he had only lifted our cases onto the pavement when getting another couples out at their apartments and forgot to put them back in the minibus !!he drove like the clappers to see if they were still there, luckily the lads at the apts had put them inside behind the bar,not a very good startSad

We called into the office to book the day trip, which included breakfast, the lake and Akyaka,Donna is hopeless! she forgot to book the 2 mini buses of in for the breakfast so we were there for over 2 hours while they prepared and served it,then on to the lake 10 minutes after breakfast, everyone into a cafe again,by then it only left us with 1 hour at the beach at Gokova!lunch was only one of those flat flour and water rolled out things with cheese or spinach, all for £25 each,a day trip that is certainly not worth the money!!! I had been so looking forward to it.

What a con. How much did you pay for your transfers? was it £90?
