RE: Bodrum Airport
Well the first time we went to Dalaman my friend asked for a burger and when she was told the price she said you can keep it! she refused to pay such a price.

Without geography, you're nowhere.

Yes, but is silly really as not many will pay those prices, the bar owners in Icmeler tell me that they make up many sandwiches for tourists for the trip home to eat at the airport. If they lowered the prices at the airport they would sell much more.

They obviously lack common sense because that would be the sensible option. For all UK airports can be expensive they are not so expensive that people refuse to use them.

the shop owners at the airport probably want to lower their prices down but i told before, they pay atronomical numbers for the rents to the airport.

But surely they sold things cheaper more people would buy and then would make them more money.

RE: Bodrum Airport
You can understand the smaller buisnesses perhaps having to charge more but MacDonalds and Pizza Express etc? Last year MacDonalds made a profit of $1.09 billion dollars and Pizza Express £21.08 million in the last 6 months. Even if the rents are expensive surely they can subsidise the airport? Also as Steve pointed out if they sold more they would make a profit that would make up for it.

But is that the common idea or if people go to the airport with the idea of "airports are always expensive" ? These companies probably played their last card and rented those shops at the airports. I agree with McDonalds etc, but remember, they are all frenchising, so it s not actual McDonalds paying the rent and thinking about the sales, it s the local investor. I am not saying go and buy at the airports but trying to say that the shop owners probably have a story behind their prices.

RE: Bodrum Airport
Maybe the shops should refuse to pay the rent then, and see how the airport looks when they can't offer people any facilities.
