RE: Any holiday tips?
This one is for the ladies;
Have you noticed that as you develop a tan the foundation make up you take is not the right shade? You can either go on holiday and before you develop a tan, wear make up that is far too dark and end up with a line around the jaw and looking like you need your face washing or wear the too light make up when you have got a tan and end up like an extra for Michael Jacksons Thriller video! ![]() OR you can do what I do and take your normal colour make up (not in a tube though!) and take a very dark one and as you get a deeper tan just keep adding the darker to mix with the light. Without geography, you're nowhere. |

Have you ever been on holiday and there is a little something no matter how trivial that kind of annoys you? With me there was not enough plug points in the apartment so the last time I went I took a cheap short extension lead sort of thing with 4 plug points on it and took that. Magic! I was able to plug both my sisters and my mobile phone in to charge. plus my ipod to charge and hair straighteners etc. The added bonus is you only need one travel plug adapter. I got mine from the pound shop so didn't break the bank and they dont weigh much. That always annoys me. I found a travel adapter that holds two plugs and that's been a godsend! RE: Any holiday tips?
Maybe I am extra fussy but I almost always find the pillows abroad in the apartments and hotels are hard and tend to give me headache and a stiff neck so I always take my own lovely soft pillow, It is also handy for the plane and for laying on the sunbed. I halved (well, was less than half) a nice soft pillow and made a pillow case ages ago and has been a Godsend and has accompanied me on every holiday, funnily enough my Sister in June in Icmeler was using her blow up pillow as she said the pillow was too hard so am in the process of making her a mini pillow for holidays. My Mum didn't find it a problem, she says she could sleep on a washing line! Think she could lol!
![]() Does anyone else have this problem with the pillows? Without geography, you're nowhere. |

I've been watching "Secret Tourist" and since then have worried about how clean the pillows are - especially the lumpy ones! Maybe it's time to start sewing ... Plus I am allergic to dust and I make sure my pillows at home are reguarly clean and aired and hung in the fresh air but I doubt this is done in the hotels and apartments.
