I am sure you all have a holiday storey, so why not share it.

Not really a story, but a few howlers collected over the years to start the thread off.

Told mainly by the crew.
I have heard these many times but they still make me smile. the last one by a young lady on our table during the last cruise.

What time is the mid-night buffet?

Do you send the laundry ashore?

How do we know which photos are ours?

Should I put our luggage outside the cabin before or after we go to sleep?

Have they got a shopping Mall in Antarctica?

Why can my three year old wear shorts at diner & I can’t?

How many Knots does she do to the gallon, Captain?

Do the stairs go up as well as down?

When the ship docks is it in the middle of the town?

Who’s steering the ship if the Captain is holding a Cocktail party?

Will the ship wait for the tour buses to get back?

Do we really have to go to both sittings for diner?

Are any late night shows held in the morning?

Are the ships Doctors qualified?

How do they store the electricity?

And last but not least

Do we have to leave the ship for the tours?

My Mum asked a lady sat next to her on the plane what airport she was flying to!
then when the lady told her (took her a minute to see the funny side!) my Mum said "what a coincidence-so are we!"

Ok here it comes, When i first started to work for http://www.HolidayHoppa.com ( Holidays Abroad Ltd ) , i was located in Turkey , Antalya and was doing the operations, if any of you booked with us, am sure they saw it on their vouchers , we give them the local office numbers ,

An afternoon, we had some people arriving to Antalya Airport. Received a phone call in the office, There was this lady on the phone :

I Answered: Transfer4Cheap / HolidayHoppa How can i help ?
She said: We are at Antalya Airport in Turkey, But cant see the Camel Man.
And i ...........................................................................

Another classic from my Mum- we were discussing tropical diseases, maleria, typhoid, cholera.lassa fever etc, in fact every one we could name and I named bilharzia (it is from a parasite that burrows in your liver) and she said "what did he have?
