Worth considering
Quite a number of Mediterranean cruises also visit ports of the Aegean Sea, Greece, Turkey & Crete the main Countries with ports like Izmir, Istanbul, Iraklion, the Greek islands also could be included. For ports as Split, Santorini, Dubrovnic look for sailings from Venice in particular often quoting Venice & the Aegean or Venice, Greek Isles & the Aegean.

This is a very pleasant cruise normally between 7 and 9 days, and certainly one of my favourites. Fairly easy to just wander ashore, but for a real feel of most of these ports a tour of some description is recommended. Wander the walls of Dubrovnik or visit the spice market in Istanbul.

I would guess that I would offer this as a first cruise for anyone interested in history.
The tips posted in the Med cruise forum also works here.

RE: Worth considering
Aegean Cruises offers sailing cruises, bareboat and crewed yacht charters in Greece. The yachts are clean, fully equipped and well maintained and our crew members are polite and can help you with all your travel needs. The Chartering Department, the core of our organization, is ready to help you charter a crewed motor yacht, motor sailer, sailing yacht, skippered sail boat, bareboat yacht, or catamaran. Then you and your guests can set sail from Athens Greece to any of the Greek Islands such as Mykonos, Santorini, Corfu, Rhodes, Crete, or Zakynthos. Enjoy your sailing holiday in Greece.

Ok, Jonydeesuja, you probably got the idea wrong, we do not allow Advertising, we allow RECOMMEDATIONS which means any forum member who would like to recommend a company is welcome to name any company or give their website out, but advertising on any forum is not that welcome is it folks ? Please consider that advertising is a different thing which is called SPAMMING, RECOMMENDATION is a different thing which is pure advise of other travellers.

Please correct me if am wrong.

Peace
