Hi Erik and a very warm welcome, your name is very familiar! I think you will find this site much better as they do not lock on here at the drop of a hat unlike another you are familiar with! I hardly ever posted on the "other one" as they lock many threads for no reason, this is a great forum and is growing in numbers every day. Look forward to reading your posts.

Same here! On one I just mentioned I would not eat at a certain restaurant they were all praising as the owner had a monkey in a small cage, poor thing had no room to swing and do what monkeys do, poor thing looked so sad and forlorn and they locked the thread! It was the truth and I used no swearing or offensive words but still it was locked. Freedom of speech but only if it is what they absolutely agree with 100% eh?

I started a thread recently about poor restaurants, Colette went off on one saying that it was their livelihood and could destry them and its what they could afford to do for their families that mattered. I said that equally some of us can only afford one holiday a year and didnt want to be ripped off and wanted quality restaurants - but she locked it anyway.

Same here! I dared to reply to a post on Wifi, asking if people couldn't do without computers for 2 weeks whilst on holiday, and guess what...upset so many people, they locked it.
Oh well, always in the poo, it's just the depth that varies Smile

Too right! What you say is very true. So is ok for us to be ripped off but we cannot warn other people? They like us to mention when we are pleased and had good service but not the opposite? They have a really bad attitude and I can assure you that I have had PMs from members on that site telling me how disgusted they are at threads being locked. I hardly ever wrote on there anyway but when I did it was locked! It will be only a matter of time before their members come on nice, fair and unbiased forums like this.

I remember that one Erik. There was one thread, where someone said about a restaurant where the doorman was beleived to have held a gun to a customers head and escorted off the premises because they queried the bill. Even got my hubby out of bed to read it because I thought that I was seeing things. When I went to go into it again later on, the thread had been deleted.

Wow- I missed all the exitement that day! thing is just when threads started getting interesting and entertaining they would be locked!
