The iconic city of Brighton and Hove on the south coast of England, nestled in between the sea and the rolling countryside of the Sussex Downs, provides a fantastic location for a family holiday. Brighton has a plethora of attractions to excite all ages, from the extraordinary architecture of the Royal Pavilion (with an ice rink in the winter months), the British Airways i360 viewing tower, the Sea Life centre and the iconic Brighton Pier. No trip to Brighton is complete without a trip to Brighton Palace pier, crammed with high octane rides, arcades, deckchairs and food and drink. Grab fresh fish and chips and bag yourself a deckchair while you watch the thrill seeking members of your family get whiplash on the "Booster" ride at the end of the Pier! Along the beach there are lots of activites to get involved in - sailing, wakeboarding, stand up paddleboarding, kitesurfing and canoeing. Wander along the beachside Arches or through the North Laines in Brighton centre to pick up some wonderful handmade goods or paintings. Brighton is also home to the annual Brighton Festival, the biggest and most established multi-arts festival in England, showcasing music, theatre, dance, circus, art, film, literature and outdoor events- not to be missed if you are planning a holiday to Brighton in May. With the Sussex countryside on your doorstep and plenty of wonderful campsites and places to stay, Brighton really does take some beating as a holiday destination.
