The Country Park has an abundance of local wildlife, and fishing opportunities
are available. You will see numerous types of birds wildlife when on site.
Bird and bat boxes have been placed in the woodland near the site and
wildflowers have been planted. 
 
Rother Valley Country Park has numerous cycle hire options, family cycles,
mountain bikes, traditional bikes, go karts, accessible cycles, wheelchair and
scooter hire. Water sports activities; family boat hire, water zorbing,
canoeing, sailing, paddle boarding and windsurfing. Private launches of boats,
sups, paddle boards and canoes. 
 
Situated just three miles from Junction 31 of the M1 motorway, on the boarders
of South Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, it is conveniently placed

We are a family-run farm located in the rural area of Redmires on the outskirts of Sheffield. Our campsite offers a beautiful location to set up your caravans and camp in the quiet and idyllic setting of the countryside, whilst being a short distance from the urban setting of Sheffield. Our farm is equidistant to both the City Centre of Sheffield and the Peak District, giving guests the unrivalled ability to access services within Sheffield easily and escape to the countryside too.
The farm is set next to the Redmires Reservoirs which offer a beautiful view of the city and for those who venture a little further, Stanage Edge offers spectacular views over the Hope Valley. There are also several other scenic walks that can be accessed without the need for a vehicle, and the farm close to friendly pubs offering local food and drinks after a long days walk.
We are located close to a bus route that takes passengers past Claremont Hospital, Hallamshire Hospital, Sheffield University and into the town centre (as well as passing through several busy areas with plenty to eat and do – such as Crosspool, Crookes and Broomhill) making commuting to and from the campsite to local amenities very easy. Better than that, though, is the ability to escape the busy urban atmosphere at the end of the day and enjoy the peace and serenity of being on the edge of the countryside away from traffic, noise and crowds.

Lightwood Farm Caravan Site is a Caravan Club Certified Location, just minutes from the centre of Sheffield, but in a beautiful pocket of Moss Valley countryside not far from the Peak District.

Our site is by all means quite simple, but we think that adds to its charm. It also boasts the best sunrise view in the Moss Valley. Our 5 pitches, each have hook up and an individual water tap. A chemical emptying point, recycling and rubbish bins are provided at Lightwood Farm – a short 150m walk away (or drive if you wish). We encourage you to recycle as much as possible.

Horseshoe lake is a quiet & secluded site with 5 pitches set in a pretty,
lawned orchard. All pitches are level & have EHU. We have w/c & shower
facilites with disabled access. There is also a waste water sluice. 
The lake is a superb 2 acre coarse fishing facility which is well stocked &
offers a number of easily accessable pegs for the less mobile. 
We have an on site Cafe which opens for breakfast 
8am-10am Thursday to Sunday. 
From 1st August our site will be open to guests with children.. 
No pets allowed. 
The automatic gates close at 9.00pm ensuring the site is secure, the entry
code is available for those visitors wishing to stay out late. 
We are 3 minutes drive away from the new Gullivers Valley

Welcome to High Lea Farm Camping, We are a family run campsite situated on our family farm in the Pennines. We are based in Penistone, South Yorkshire and are surrounded by beautiful scenery, fantastic bike routes and a great range of walks. We offer camping pitches for tents and camper vans.

We are a ideal location for cycling, mountain biking and walkers.  We are close to the Trans-Pennine Trail, and are just on the doorstep of the resent Tour-de-France route, there is also local bike shops and bike hire in a close proximity.

For walkers flat gentle strolls or challenging hill climbs are all options. There is the Penistone Boundary walk, Barnsley Boundary walk, The Kirklees way and nearby Pennine Way. There is a huge range of reservoirs to walk around close by and there is even a five reservoir challange taking in the most fantastic scenery and widelife.

Our small family run campsite is in one of our fields with good access to the main road. The site has spectacular views looking down into the valley and we are in a great area for travel networks. We accommodate tents. There are local pubs/ takeaway places nearby too.

Orchard camping is a small family run campsite ideally situated at the edge of the Pennines. Based in Penistone, South Yorkshire.

Up until quite recently, Sheffield was known as the City of Steel - pretty much every knife fork and spoon came from here, and it was famed for its industry and innovation.  These days, the smoking chimneys of industry have gone and Sheffield is a green and modern city, set among the stunning background of the Peak District National Park.  You will find fantastic restaurants and bars, live music, an array of festivals, exhibitions and street art and all manor of things that make a City visit so exciting. In town, there are a couple of museums that are worth a visit to further understand Sheffield's history.  The Kelham Island Museum sitting on the River Don houses exhibitions about science and industry in Sheffield and you can find out more about the city's art and culture heritage at the Millennium Museum.  There are some fantastic artworks displayed here.  Kids will also enjoy a trip out to the Magna Science Adventure centre if you are visiting the nearby town of Rotherham.   A bit further out of town you have the glorious Peak District National Park, with fantastic walking, cycling and general good-old Enid Blyton fresh air and fun.  The ruins of Peveril Castle lie in the middle of the Park and are worth exploring, or go subterranean and visit The Peak Cavern (it has another name but it's too rude to write here)- a series of caves formed from the old lead mining days.  There are fully guided tours available; don't miss out on the incredible boat ride 450m underground to the Bottomless Pit and discover what life was like for the miners working in the 18th Century. With a great location for exploring the county of South Yorkshire, make sure you stop off in this vibrant city.
