St Agnes Beacon Caravan And Motorhome Club Site

Martin and Lucy welcome you to St Agnes Caravan Site which is situated on the outskirts of St Agnes village on the North Coast of Cornwall. The Site is surrounded by farmland and has stunning panoramic views of the coast from St Ives to Trevose Head Light House and inland countryside views taking in Carnbrea and St Agnes Beacon. You will enjoy sunrise, beautiful sunsets and a starry night sky.

All pitches have a picnic bench, illuminated supply points with fresh drinking water and electric. Grey water and Chemical waste disposal points are clearly marked nearby, we also have a drive over Motorhome grey water disposal area with a tap for refills. Refuse and Recycling bins are discreetly fenced near to the exit.

We give our guests plenty of pitch space and can also accommodate additional cars, kayaks and boats!

Our family have lived at Hurling Burrow Farm for many years and our children have grown up here. We hope that your children will also enjoy the large field to play in. We have one additional field to walk well behaved dogs and ask that they are kept on leads and that you pick up after them as you go.

St Agnes is on a stunning coast line with many beautiful walks. You can enjoy Trevaunace Cove and Chapel Porth beaches for swimming, surfing, kayaking and fishing and there are plenty of other beaches to visit in the area.

The village lies just one and a half miles down the road, providing convenience stores, Butchers, Greengrocers, a Bakery, a Newsagent, a Chemist and a Hairdressers. There are several Pubs and restaurants, Fish and chip shop, Pizza and Chinese takeaways. There are also Art, Gift and Jewellery shops.

St Agnes is steeped in mining history and mystical tales that you can investigate at the Museum. There is always something going on in the local calendar to help you get to know and be involved in our friendly Village.

St Agnes Head is one of the dark skies discovery sites, so you'll know that if you fancy a spot of star gazing, then it's guaranteed to be free from light pollution giving you a really good place to look up

There is a bus service to the Cathedral City of Truro and to Newquay and many coastal villages on the way.

Polgarth Farm Certificated Location

This is a Certificated Site (CS). These select sites are small, privately run campsites that operate under the Club’s jurisdiction and can only accommodate up to 5 caravans or motorhomes and up to 10 trailer tents or tents, unless express permission has been given by the Club to accommodate more. They range from secluded Hideaways to fully facilitated family-friendly sites, and are often found in locations where larger commercial sites are prohibited so you could be camping close to a beach or in the National Park, for example.

Cross Coombe farm is a family run site which nestles on the edge of the
beautiful Jericho valley a couple of miles north of the coastal village of St
Agnes. 
 
We have space for five caravans/motorhomes and several tents. All the caravan
pitches have electric hook up, their own water taps and can be accessed
whatever the weather. Being that the camping field is 2.5 acres, everyone has
plenty of room and a good view over the valley with its brooding mines and
beyond out towards St Agnes. 
 
Bordering the camping field we have horse, donkey and alpaca paddocks. The
donkeys...Flipflop and Wotsit are always grateful of an apple or a carrot if
you have one spare... 
 
The stunning North Cornish coastline can be accessed via the famous South West
Coastal path and is no more than 200 metres from the gate. The stretch from
here to Perrenporth (about a 40 minute walk) has been described as the most
breathtaking cliff top walk in northern Europe. 
 
Trevallasporth cove is five minutes walk down the hill (15 minutes back up!)
and sits at the bottom of Jericho Valley...it is one of Cornwall's secret
beaches. But please note this cove has no lifeguards...the next beach down at
St Agnes is a wonderful family beach with lifeguards and all the usual beach
facilities you would need. (It also has a mighty fine pub!) 
 
Other facilities onsite are toilets and a shower room (all spotlessly
clean....see our reviews), a washing up area and a chemical disposal point. 
 
Cross Coombe Farm is a tranquil site, if you are a looking to be on a site
which celebrates the lively Cornish surf scene (and parties that go along with
them) then try looking closer to the surf capital Newquay and you will find
what you are looking for. 
 
Please note...Booking is ESSENTIAL as we get very busy and we don't wish to
disappoint.

Most people come to Cornwall for the beaches and it's hardly surprising, we
have a wonderful array of beautiful coves and bays with white sand and clean
water. Chapleporth, Trevaunance Cove, Trevallasporth and Perranporth beach are
all within ten minutes drive. And of course all these beaches are linked by
the coastal path. 
 
If indeed walking is your thing then you are in the right place...not only do
we have the coastal walks and wonderful wooded valleys with rivers and streams
running off the hills but also historic paths that weave through the ancient
mining districts. The whole of the county is criss crossed with literally
hundreds of miles of footpaths...if you have a dog, they will be in dog
heaven. 
 
Naturally there is a variety of great pubs and restaurants in the vicinity.

We are situated in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Heritage Coast
and the South West Coastal footpath passes our door affording access to some
of the finest cliff and coastal scenery in Cornwall and the stunning remains
of Wheal Coates tin mine. The touring park is part of a traditional working
Cornish family farm set in beautiful countryside, a few hundred yards from the
sea.A haven for walkers,conservationists, photographers and bird watchers. 
The 70 individually numbered pitches are set out in six small landscaped
paddocks enjoying spectacular sea and coastal views while others are
surrounded by trees, offering shelter for those who prefer it.

We have a small shop selling newspapers, milk and eggs delivered daily. Calor
and camping gas sales. Freezer pack service.
