The campsite is for the use of tents and small campervans (VW T series, Transits etc.) I'm afraid we do not allow caravans or motorhomes.

You are welcome to have fires at the campsite. You can buy wood here, or bring your own. I recommend bringing a small axe. NB: Please don't burn wood with nails or screws in. Please use an existing fire site where possible. The stones on the farm are not suitable for use around the fire as they explode.

There is a stand pipe next to the compost loo. The water on the farm comes from a spring and is agricultural grade, therefore I recommend boiling it before drinking.

There are compost and long drop loos. Please throw a handful of sawdust into the toilet, once you have finished. The toilets are for human waste and paper only.

The compost loos have a pee separator in them. Please try to avoid throwing loo paper and sawdust down them as they will block. Its probably best to accompany small children to ensure they sit well back on the toilet for obvious reasons.

The showers are gas and electric power showers. If there is a problem with them give me a call. Please leave them as you found them.

Dogs are welcome on the camp site, please make sure they are under control at all times. Please make sure you clean up after your dog. I recommend bringing a little shovel so you can hook any poo discreetly into the bottom of the hedge. If you must use little bags please dispose of them yourself, please DO NOT hang them in the hedges, leave them by the toilets or showers or put them in the compost loo.

**Noise**

Please be mindful of noise, both for your fellow campers and my neighbours. It does feel remote here but I do have residential neighbours on all sides and the wind is pretty good at carrying sound a fair distance. I politely request that there is no amplified music.


This is a working farm so please be aware that there may tractors and other machinery going about their business. For this reason please keep to the field that the camping area is in. There are also temporary dwellings on the holding that seasonal workers are residing in, please respect their privacy.

Grass Pitch

This lorry is fully equipped accommodation for 2 people (adults only, no pets). It is sited on its own the field with stunning views of the sea and opposite valley. It is is completely insulated with wool and has a wood burning stove making it suitable for use all year round.

The lorry has a hand built kitchen at one end and a raised bed at the other with storage underneath. There is a round window facing the sea in the sleeping area. There is also a comfy leather sofa to relax on.

There is a 12v solar electrical system that that powers lights in both the kitchen and bedroom and a usb/cigarette lighter wall socket.

The kitchen has a full size gas cooker and a comprehensive set of utensils and crockery. Basics such as salt, sugar, oil, vinegar and tea are provided. Outside there is an oak wash station with a Belfast sink in it. The water from the tap is filtered spring water.

There is an cool box under the lorry. There are cool blocks in the freezer in the site utility room. The kitchen has a table and 2 chairs. There is a comfy sofa next to the wood burning stove. Wood is provided for the stove.

The bedroom has a luxury wool topped double bed. The duvet and and pillows are all made from british wool and the bedding is made from 100% cotton.

There are lots of windows in the vehicle giving it a light airy feel. The windows are furnished with thick curtains.

Outside the lorry there is a wooden sun terrace constructed out of Chestnut and Douglas fir. There is a wood fired hot tub on it and a barbeque.

There is a fire pit out in front of the terrace so you can sit and keep warm while enjoying the incredible view or cook on the open fire. 

There are compost loos on the site and a shower block.

Bedford TK

This lorry is fully equipped accommodation for 2 people (adults only). It is sited at the top of the field with stunning views of the sea and opposite valley. It is completely insulated with wool and has a wood-burning stove making it suitable for use all year round.

The lorry comprises of 2 areas. A living and kitchen area (approximately 9'x8') and a bedroom (approximately 6'x8'). The lorry is insulated with sheep's wool and clad in wood.

There is a 12v solar electrical system that powers lights in both the kitchen and bedroom and a USB/cigarette lighter wall socket.

The kitchen has a full-size gas cooker, sink and a comprehensive set of utensils and crockery. Basics such as salt, sugar, oil, vinegar and tea are provided.

There is an electric cool box under the lorry that cool blocks can be put in it. The kitchen has a table and 2 chairs. There is a sofa next to the wood-burning stove. Wood is provided for the stove.

The bedroom has luxury wool topped double bed. The duvet and pillows are all made from British wool and the bedding is made from 100% cotton.

Whether it's evening ambles and brunches down The Cobb harbour or rummaging for fossils somewhere in the sand, Chippers Field is well-situated for taking up activities on the seaside around Lyme Regis. Three miles from the ancient town, this quiet adults-only site has its own scenery for show, as the south-facing tree-lined terrace field is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with plenty of wildlife in the field. On Raymond's Hill, you'll be just off the A35 and a few minutes' walk away from a bus stop, so getting about shouldn't be a problem. In fact, there's the market village of Axminster five minutes' drive away (for walks along the river Axe perhaps, or a foodie-style trip out?)Of course, Lyme Regis is 10 minutes' drive away too… just the spot for pubs, restaurants and shops, strolls along The Cobb or putting in a plan of action for the Jurassic Coast's renowned fossil-hunting stretch between the town and the Golden Cap Estate.When you don't feel like going very far at all, there's a pub serving food just a few minutes' walk from the site or a local shop for all the basics next door to the pub for snack gathering (ready for local walks and cycling trails, perhaps?) You may have already seen it on the telly, but River Cottage (the same name for the TV show) is also half an hour's walk away and runs a cookery school or dining events.

Chippers Field

We have 14 pitches, all on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Pitches are marked out with trees on raised banks between pitches for more privacy. Pitches vary in size from around 12 feet wide to 18 feet wide. Pitch also in the middle of the camping field too. We now have a new facilities block with 2 showers and 2 toilets for campers’ use. At one end of the block is a washing up area with hot water and at the other end a ‘desk’ area with two sockets where phones and other electrical equipment can be charged. Also here are two fridges, both with ice boxes. Firepit/BBQs Allowed.

Badger’s Retreat Shepherd’s Hut is situated near our pond in our small adult-only campsite. The hut is warm and cosy with heating as well as kitchen area with sink,  fridge, and kettle.  In addition, Badger’s Retreat has its own ensuite toilet and shower. With the comfy kingsize bed, you’ll sleep soundly and wake up to the sound of the countryside with birdsong and distant church bells.

Badger's Retreat

Stay in the beautifully decorated and equipped Shepherd’s Hut, Otter’s Nest, on the edge of our small adult-only campsite. The hut is warm and cosy with heating as well as kitchen area with sink, hob, fridge, and kettle so you feel right at home. The comfy kingsize bed means you’ll sleep soundly too and wake up to the sound of the countryside with birdsong and distant church bells.  Private toilet and shower facilities just a few steps away from the hut outside.

Otter's Nest 

Relax and unwind at Hobby Farm, our peaceful, countryside adult-only campsite retreat in the heart of the Dorset Marshwood Vale, West Dorset, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. There are numerous footpaths leading to the nearby coastal beach at Charmouth and it is just a 10 minute drive to the bustling seaside town of Lyme Regis. There’s also an abundance of wildlife all around the site with otters and ducklings to be found on the pond, horses grazing nearby and even a badgers set on the hill. There’s also a lovely country pub serving great food and ale just a 500 yard walk down the lane too!

Shepherd's Hut

Merrydown is close to the Devon and Dorset coast, rural towns and villages and easily accessible from the A35 and A303. Our highly convenient location within Blackdown Hills area of Outstanding Natural Beauty means that the thriving town of Lyme Regis is just 15 minutes away; Exeter and Taunton are just a 30-minute drive away.

It’s a great place for either a one-night stopover or longer stay. Beautiful rural views of Danes Hill and occasional visits from deer and many rabbits will add to your stay. The Taunton Cross bus stop is just a short walk away and the number 4 route gives hourly good access to Axminster, Honiton, Ottery St.Mary and Exeter.

Coombe View Farm offers basic camping, where it is possible to cast off the modern world, go back in time and immerse yourself in a simple, stress-free life!  We provide free WiFi which covers some of the campsite (not guaranteed) if you can't bear to be cut off!


Our campsite welcomes touring caravans, motorhomes, Campervans & tents.

We also have two mobile homes available to rent!

 At Coombe View Farm there are different animals around to make friends with.  

We have a herd of native ponies known as the "Sweetcombe Exmoor Ponies"

We have a variety of poultry including some rare breeds and a small flock of sheep. 

If you want a peaceful, basic campsite, this is the place to come.  We offer traditional camping at its best; open fires, plenty of space, star gazing & memory making.

The cottage is a beautiful stone building that was part of the old milking parlour,
Upstairs, the accommodation consists of one very large double room, a bathroom room with toilet, sink & bath.
 
The accommodation downstairs is a large open-plan living area, with a sofa bed that sleeps 2.
 
The kitchen has an oven and a combi-oven, washer dryer and dishwasher.
 
The ground floor has underfloor heating and french windows overlooking the farm and gardens. The side access provides access to a very pretty shared outside seating area.

The lodge has a spacious entrance area which houses a washing machine with plenty of storage and hanging space, this is the perfect place to leave a muddy kit after a long walk with your dog.
 
The kitchen is fully equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, slow cooker & all cooking and eating utensils.
 
The lounge area has plenty of seating and television but also opens up to an outside seating area with a lovely view. The seating in the lounge converts to a double bed and there is also a double room and a twin room.
 
The bathroom has a toilet, sink & shower.

Our Individual Bespoke Pod is the perfect escape from a busy lifestyle. You can expect peace and tranquillity as you are nestled in the heart of the Dorset Countryside.

The pod sleeps 2 people and can be set up as a twin or double bed. Dogs are also welcome.
 
It is kitted out with a fridge and coffee & tea-making equipment. The toilet and showers are located separately from the pod within the farm buildings.

Imagine Glamping is owned by the Westlake Family and based at Knapp Farm in the heart of the glorious Dorset Countryside.

Knapp Farm is run as a Stud, breeding champion PRE (Spanish) Horses. If you stay with us in the Spring, you will be sure to see some gorgeous foals. We also have sheep, chickens and Alpacas. on-site.

Imagine Glamping

Beaver's Lodge Safari Tent is more like a tented lodge and is based around an African style safari tent where you will find nature at your fingertips. The tent is built on a wooden platform with a canvas exterior and wooden partitions dividing into rooms which enable you to congregate together as a family or relax in your own private areas.

Our lodge comfortably sleeps four people with one double bed in the master room and twin beds in a separate room that would comfortably sleep two adults. The lodge has been furnished giving a ‘home from home’ feel especially with having an on-site bathroom at the back of the tent with a private toilet and shower, you will also find your own walk in wardrobe/store. There is also has a log burning range cooker, fully working gas hob and a gas fridge along with everything required to make your stay extra special.

What a way to enjoy the outdoors... whether it’s gazing up at the stars at night or sitting back and relaxing - the hot tub is an absolutely brilliant addition to our safari tent.
Set at an angle to Otter's Holt you will feel quite private and have your own large decked-area - complete with a wood-fired hot tub and table and chairs to the front and sun loungers to the side of the tent - a great place for soaking up the sun and enjoying the fabulous views and sounds of the countryside.

Beaver's Lodge Safari Tent

Your beautifully hand-crafted, traditionally styled hut is just beautiful inside and out... get busy doing nothing in this idyllic back-to-nature family retreat.
Otter's Holt can comfortably sleep two plus a cot, or four persons without a cot (2 adults, 2 children). This postcard-pretty bespoke Shepherd's Hut is not short of grown-up luxuries, with hot tub and fabulous views of the countryside... there is no compromise on comfort here.

In your Shepherd's Hut you will all find a king-size deep mattress, a bunk bed where the top bed will fold up to reveal a comfortable seating area. A cleverly designed kitchen where you will then find a Belfast sink, two-ring hob, mini oven and fridge. You will also find a separate bathroom with a flushing loo and lovely warm shower. To keep you warm on a cold winter nights there is also a wood-burning stove which adds that extra atmosphere.

If you like the idea of sitting by your fire pit watching the flames dance, or in your toasty relaxing hot tub you might hear a fox calling, an owl hooting along the valley or the farm’s cattle gently settling down for the evening, this is certainly for you.

Otter's Holt Shepherd's Hut

Dave, Vicki, Phoebe and Jack Lawrence would like to welcome you to Knightstone Farm Glamping retreat, a luxury glamping site set on their family farm in the heart of the stunning East Devon countryside.

Knightstone's luxury lodges are tucked into the corner of beautiful Ottery St Mary, pastureland grazed by the farms dairy cattle looking onto East Hill’s woodland with Knightstone's lake just metres away.

On the farm you will also find a small flock of sheep that are all rather friendly and are grazed close to the glamping site. Various free range chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, rabbits, ponies and the best animals of all... five Pygmy goats, which you are more than welcome to come and visit (by appointment only).

This wonderful glamping site is in an enclosed meadow of approximately one and a half acres. Here you will share the setting with an intriguing range of wildlife.

Based just outside of Ottery St Mary, Knightstone is a working family farm and therefore cattle from the dairy herd will be grazing in some of the fields, but the glamping meadow is completely enclosed. The farm is a five minute walk from the lodge so you can keep yourselves to yourselves or take a short walk to the farm and see the day to day running (by appointment only).

Here at Knightstone we encourage you to walk through our fields (over 100 acres) and enjoy all the wildlife there is to see from rabbits, hares, pheasants, deer, foxes, buzzards, kestrels, owls and beavers, that were found on our stretch of the river in 2013.

There are traditional Devon hedgerows, streams and rivers, woodland, and a Pixies Cave for you to explore. You will be transformed to another world – bird song, fresh air, starry skies, amazing views, peace and tranquillity.

Our   nightly   charge  is inclusive  for  one  family  of   four   with  car and  van  or  motor  home  and   car

We  do  request that  guests   separate  plastic, glass, papers  and  tins.

Dogs  are  welcome  but  obviously  be   kept  under  control  as  we are  a working farm.

There is   a  shower  and  flushing  toilet on  site  as  well as  washing  machine   and   dryer.   Shower   and  laundry  operate   on  a   coin  box   system.

Our  farm  shop   can  supply  campers  with  fresh  lamb,  beef  chicken and  pork  and  also our  own  brand  of  tea personally  selected  from  our  time  in Sri  Lanka. Fresh home  made  bread   may   be  available  on  baking  days  the  micro  bakery   is  being  kitted  out  and  the  baker(me) doing a  crash   course  in  stone baked  bread   Farm  walks  can  be  arranged  on  request  and   depending  on  which  fields  are being   grazed   by  stock.

Little Gosford farm is a small family run farm of 43 acres of natural pasture land located in East Devon in the beautiful South West of England.

We maintain a closed flock of Wiltshire horn sheep numbering an average of 100 ewes and lambs, furthermore a small flock of some 50 laying hens which are completely free range. At the time of writing we are bringing on 20 Black Angus beef cattle. We also raise, as the season dictates, pigs and meat birds. We have established a certificated location caravan and motorhome park under the auspices of the Caravan Club. For additional income we renovated what was originally designed as a lambing shed into a successful holiday let.

The farm has its own water supply and we are self supporting in our electricity needs thanks to three solar generators that were installed in 2012.

Spacious grass pitch  for campervan or tent with car. One vehicle per pitch. Pitches are at least 12-14m diameter.Spacious pitch with plenty of room for large tents.  We do not charge extra for gazebos/pup tents etc. The camping field is car-free to make a peaceful and safe environment for everyone on site. The car park is next to the camping field. Wheelbarrows are available for bringing your belongings the very short distance to your pitch.

Buckland Farm Camping is situated in Somerset at the foot of the beautiful Blackdown Hills, on our working farm.

When you holiday with us, you will be in a great central location for exploring the local area whether by foot, bike or car.  There is something for everyone here, with lots to see and do within easy reach.

Or you can sit back and relax – toast marshmallows under the stars, or enjoy a glass of wine or cup of coffee while your children are making new friends at our central play and picnic area.

Our back-to-nature campsite is new this year, and we are looking forward to the arrival of our first guests.  We welcome everyone – individuals, families, couples and dogs, who have their own off lead activity/exercise area.

Your dogs deserve a holiday too and at Buckland Farm, we welcome your four legged friends.  

Being a farm, we do ask that you keep your dog on a lead at all times, unless in the fenced ‘activity area’. Thank you.

Buckland Farm Camping

Brigs Farm is a 12-acre small-holding nestled in the hills 2 miles from the Jurassic Coast in the far corner of West Dorset. It is a truly beautiful area full of winding hedgerow lanes and public footpaths. Charmouth, famous for its fossils, is only 2 miles away and Lyme Regis is close too.
I aim to provide a less formal campsite where well-behaved dogs are welcome and you can enjoy a campfire and sea views. There are compost toilets and free showers.

Charmouth beach is a location that is must-stop the children and comes with all the great things we all love about a visit towards the coastline. Set down a blanket on the coast that is sand-covered put up camp while you stop and explore the remainder coastline. Once you've splashed about in the ocean, then simply take a peek into one of the rock pools and discover what animals you are able to spot? Or you've got small explorers in your pack, decide to try trying to find some fossils - they will result in the perfect reminder for the day that is fantastic you'd!

Charmouth Beach

The Town Mill is an watermill that is ancient was rescued by volunteers through a ten year renovation task, which saved it from dereliction.
