Hannah's Haven

Redruth, Cornwall, England

Who doesn't love the simple things in life? Fresh air, good food, a comfy bed and the luxury of having nowhere to be and nothing to do. At Hannah's Haven there's plenty of time to slow down and jump off the bandwagon of modern-day stress. This sweet shepherd's hut (it's named after the owners' daughter) is perched, far from the madding crowd, in a quiet spot within its very own grassy meadow. The traditionally styled barrel-top beauty, painted a soothing sage green, features a timber-clad, open plan living area that's as cosy as can be, with a wooden floor, cream walls and ruched gingham curtains. At one end is the double bed - with a wall-mounted TV/DVD player conveniently within view, and at the other is a kitchen area which comes complete with a small sink and worktop, induction hob, plug-in grill, microwave, kettle and toaster. In between is the dining area, a bistro table with a pair of cane chairs, and a handy-dandy wood-burner-effect electric stove. What more could you possible want? How about an en suite shower-room? This one's a nifty affair, fitting a real flushing WC, a wash-basin and an electric shower all in one convenient and attractive space. Outside, lounge in the sunshine or eat al fresco while enjoying the country views and saying hi to the horses and donkeys. What's more, just steps away you'll find your own large wooden cabin, with a washer/dryer, fridge/freezer, mini oven and large sink, plus storage space for bikes, wet suits, surfboards or suitcases. Practical and pretty - it's the best of both worlds.
