One of the most impressively located sites on the network, Tewkesbury Abbey Club Site is only a short walk from the charming old town of Tewkesbury. In fact, it's almost in the shadow of the ancient Abbey from which it takes its name. With superb mature trees screening the caravan park, you and your family will feel tucked away in a quiet dream of days gone by. Tewkesbury Abbey Club Site makes it conveniently easy to explore the nostalgic delights of the old town on foot - there are many historic buildings, and interesting walks to be had, as well as some excellent museums. On Wednesdays and Saturdays you can track down the odd bargain or two at the local market, or if history is more your bag you can walk the Battle Trail commemorating the famous Wars of the Roses (1471). The caravan site also offers opportunity for the romantic - take a boat cruise on the peaceful river to experience the beautiful Avon landscapes. Other places not to be missed are the Cotswold villages of Broadway, Winchcombe and Moreton-in-Marsh. There are good transport links to Cheltenham, Gloucester and Worcester and a little further afield, the Malvern Hills and Forest of Dean offer great walking opportunities.
