With our delicious sourdough bread & wood fired pizza on site there is no better place to stay while exploring all that Orkney has to offer. ​ Evie overlooks the Eynhallow sound with clear views over to the isle of Rousay and a stones throw from beautiful Aikerness Bay which boasts golden sands and shallow water, perfect for paddling in when the tide comes in, making this a great place to holiday with Children and dogs. At the east end of Aikerness Bay is the Broch of Gurness, one of the most outstanding surviving examples of an Iron Age settlement in the north of Scotland, one of the islands best kept secrets. Discover Orcadian life over 2,000 years ago in the visitor centre which displays fascinating Iron Age artefacts. Evie is on the main road and the North Sea Cycle route to the north of the island and the Brough of Birsay, and just over 10 miles to Skara Brae, we are only a 20 minute drive from both Stromness and Kirkwall, making this a great base for your Orkney holiday. We have a small family run campsite in the heart of the village of Evie, on the West Mainland of Orkney. Evie overlooks the Eynhallow sound with clear views over to the isle of Rousay and a stones throw from beautiful Evie Bay which boasts golden sands and shallow water, perfect for paddling in when the tide comes in, making this a great place to holiday with Children and dogs. Our campsite is split between two areas; a small sheltered site next to the cottages more suited to young families and a larger site across the road with a sea view. There is a small shower block with dish washing facilities for the use of campers. Well behaved Children and dogs are welcome, dogs must be on leads at all times. The campsite will be bookable online, but drop in's will also be welcome if space is available.
