From vineyards and local mills to nosing around Norwich, there are all sorts of things to do from Loddon Campsite and Marina. This peaceful and friendly site in the Norfolk village of Loddon is near the banks of the river Chet and there’s no shortage of handy things around either, including pubs, shops and an excellent chippy within a short walk of the site.

The riverside setting is key here: guests have access to the water with moorings, a slipway for boats and space for fishing (for carp, tench, roach and perch, if you were wondering for what exactly). You’ll need to keep a good hold of your catch though, as there’s a resident heron on site that probably wouldn’t mind sharing in the spoils…

This is a handy spot for getting out and about in the Norfolk countryside: there are walks along the river just by the site or hire boats for a cruise along to the Norfolk Broads. Alternatively, head west to Norwich or east to the coast with a drive of half an hour or less. Dogs are welcome to join you on trips here, but must be kept on a lead.

Step inside our  Shepherds Hut and warm yourself by the crackling fire! This cosy hut sleeps up to three on a double bed and single bunk bed. The beds are supplied with 100% cotton sheets, pillow cases and duvet cover.
You have exclusive use of a handmade composting toilet with a stable door and view of the neighbouring field. 
The hut has a real vintage charm, but also has plenty of modern conveniences: its eco-friendly hidden solar panel runs a set of lights, and even has a usb sockets to charge your phone. The authentic  wood burning stove is a gorgeous addition, keeping the hut snug at night and can also be used to heat a camping kettle.
There is a gas cooker and sink with a cold tap.
Outside you'll have a picnic bench with parasol and a fire bowl with removable cooking grill.
When the sun goes down and you are snuggled up in front of a glowing fire, staying in a field doesn't get much better than this.

Outside on a private deck guests have a picnic bench and fire pit with bbq.
Your own toilet is situated by the front door on the deck.

The Tinkers Hut

Wardley Hill Campsite is an ecological family owned campsite in the Waveney Valley. Wild flowers and grass are left to grow to encourage butterflies and bees. The long grass surrounds lush mown unregimented camping spots for you to choose, some secluded and others big enough to fit several families.  Small campervans are also welcome to stay with us in their own area. Campervans must be a similar size to a Volkeswagon Transporter and we do not offer any electric hook up or liquid waste disposal point.

The Hammock Hut is equipped with a small gas stove, mugs and complimentary tea and coffee.
The hut has solar powered lighting with remote control, 2 usb charging ports, a 12v socket and forced air heating to keep you cosy in the winter..
You can lounge about in the hammocks or use the sofa. There is also a small table and chairs and outdoor fire drum.
Bedding is not supplied.
If you don't fancy the hammocks you can unfurl the sofa bed.
Guests have access to the main campsites toilets and shower.

Wardley Hill Campsite is an eco campsite in the Waveney Valley between Beccles and Bungay on the Norfolk and Suffolk border. Offering unregimented car free camping and glamping near to the Norfolk Broads and Suffolk Coast.

Arrive here and leave your stresses and car at the door.  That done, wander through the long, wildflower strewn grasses that make up this unashamedly gorgeous and ecologically aware site in the heart of the Suffolk Countryside.  Wardley Hill Campsite is stunning and buzzing with nature, set over 6 acres of mature woodland and rural meadows, with streams babbling through it.  The apparently random layout here is in fact well thought out, with pitches carved into the long grasses and dotted around the field, blending in seamlessly and giving nature a chance to flourish and thrive around you.  Depending on the size of your group, choose a small secluded area, or a larger spot if you are more than one family.  

Wardley Hill Campsite is as close to wild camping as you can get….without actually camping wildly on someone else’s land when you shouldn’t be.  Tents and small campervans only here and they are firmly off grid, so no electric hook-ups or bright lights shining from anywhere, meaning dark skies and starry nights.  Vehicles are not allowed on the tent site (on arrival you trolley your stuff to your pitch, festival-style), which means less noise, less pollution and no doors slamming when your neighbours come back from a day out at Beccles.  Facilities are reassuringly simple and charming; three pretty wooden huts are home to a hot shower and well maintained composting toilets, and homemade fire pits are available in the shape of upcycled washing machine drums - perfect for nighttime campfires.

If you love the idea of being out in nature but are either tent-less or in need of a few creature comforts, Wardley Hill has some awesome glamping options to choose from.  There are two shepherds huts; one larger ‘Tinkers Hut’ which sleeps 5, the other - Hilda - sleeps 3; Stingray shaped tree tents suspended from the branches sleeping two or three, a Hammock Hut (also containing a sofa bed if you don’t want to be swung to sleep) and a large Bell Tent with proper beds.  The Shepherds huts have private toilets and all of the accommodation is unique and beautifully thought out.

The nearby countryside is well worth exploring if you can tear yourself away from the camp (and no one will blame you if you can’t).  Waveney Valley runs along the border of Norfolk and Suffolk and is a largely unspoilt area with idyllic villages, pretty market towns - Diss and Beccles to name a couple - Norman Castles, ancient churches and bags of local history.  Adventure down the River Waveney which passes just a mile from Wardley Hill Campsite; you can hire a stand-up paddleboard from here and glide along the quiet stretches of water - the Bungay loop is motorboat free so you will be guaranteed a calm paddle here.  From Beccles you can also hire a canoe, or if you don’t want to do all the hard work then take an organised cruise or hire a day boat.  Crystal clear waters and calm conditions make for ideal wildlife spotting - keep a lookout for kingfishers and otters amongst other things.

Wardley Hill campsite offers everything you could want to make a camping holiday truly relaxing and  memorable; a wild and pretty eco site with a limited impact on nature.  “Camping with Soul” said one happy camper.  No one will argue with that.

At the very end of the site where our private dyke meets the main river is where our final premium pitch can be found. The Premium River Front Pitch is a non-electric, wild camping pitch, tucked slightly back from the wooden jetty and launch way, nestled amongst the trees that line the dyke and is surrounded by the water and is closest to the main river access.

Three Rivers is a family-owned and run campsite located in the quaint village of Geldeston, Norfolk situated along the Waveney River which is part of the Norfolk Broads System.  We are trying to create a back to nature, wild camping experience but with modern, luxury facilities on site. 

Three Rivers is a family-owned business that is managed by myself, Jodi. We have a real passion for the outdoors and strive to preserve the site with wildlife at the forefront and to maintain a beautiful, peaceful, natural spot for people to enjoy. We believe that camping should be an ecologically sound way of holidaying. 

This tranquil site, surrounded by water and so much wildlife is the perfect spot to come and relax, unwind and enjoy the scenery. If you are looking to get away from the day to day life and enjoy nature then Three Rivers is the place to visit. We are open all year round (weather permitting) and welcome touring caravans, motorhomes, campervans and tents; including families, group bookings, individuals and nature lovers alike.

Our pitches are spread across the upper and lower meadow, both situated just a few minutes walk from the Whitlingham Broad Visitor Centre and cafe, with all the walks, activities and peaceful hideaways the Country Park has to offer.

The Upper Meadow is a car free haven with great views across the Country Park to the Broad. Parking is a few metres from the pitches and we provide specialised luggage transportation devices; which look a little like customised wheel barrows! There is also an access track for dropping kit off.

Our pitches are spread across the upper and lower meadow, both situated just a few minutes walk from the Whitlingham Broad Visitor Centre and cafe, with all the walks, activities and peaceful hideaways the Country Park has to offer. ​The lower meadow accommodates tents, camper-vans & small motorhomes (no caravans or large trailer tents).
If you prefer to have your car next to your tent the Lower Meadow can accommodate one car.

Welcome to the wonderful Whitlingham Yurt, inspired by traditional Mongolian yurts but with a few twists to adapt it to our climate and add some touches of luxury.

Our yurt has a 6m footprint and comes fully furnished with a solid wood double bed including bedding, two comfy double futons and a cosy wood burner.

Brand new for 2021, our bespoke designed woodland cabins are nestled in the wooded valley side of our campsite, raised up from the forest floor offering wonderful open views across the camping meadows down to the broad at the front, and historic, private woodland on the other 3 sides.

Each den sleeps up to 4 people, with a king size bed on the mezzanine floor, and comfortable, pull out beds in the living area.

Flint and Chalk woodland dens have their own balcony, decking area and private woodland glade complete with fire-pit, BBQ, seating and hammocks. You can simply relax and enjoy being immersed in the woodland.

**Whitlingham Broad Campsite** is an absolute corker; lovers of the great outdoors will find everything they need and bags more at this unique, friendly, well run and brilliantly situated campsite.  Just a short stroll to the historic city of **Norwich** and in 80 acres of beautiful countryside on the edge of the **Norfolk Broads National Park**, this campsite couldn’t be better placed to enjoy some of the very best of what **Norfolk** has to offer.

There is a wide variety of awesome accommodation here and something for everyone; the quandary might be choosing which one to book.  If you have your own kit, there is a simple camping field with lots of grassy pitches, all with glorious views across the Country Park.  One field is tents only and vehicle free so super safe for the kids gadding about; the other field allows tents, small campervans and small motorhomes - all wonderfully electricity free - so it is chilled out, fuss-free,family friendly camping at its best here.  There’s an excellent amenities block, an outdoor washing up area and in between the two fields, there is an epic wooden adventure playground.  A handy shop selling camping essentials, snacks and lots more is onsite -  and they’ll even charge your phone for you.

If you haven’t got your own camping gear, a bevvy of glamping alternatives await.  Choose from one of their lovely boutique bell tents, decked out in funky vintage decor and sleeping 6, or the cosy shepherds hut for 3 with a woodburning stove for colder evenings.  There are also two fabulous converted railway good wagons - Bertie and Ronnie - for a stay with a difference, or a beautiful and spacious **Mongoliglan yurt**; all these three have their own decking area, a woodburner and a hammock for lazing about.  And - new for 2021 - the creative geniuses that run Whitlingham Broad Campsite have built two **Woodland dens**; luxury **treehouses** raised up off the woodland floor on stilts, with breathtaking views out across the countryside. 

You’ll want to stay here for weeks, not days.  The surrounding countryside is awesome, and the very welcoming owners know a vast amount about the area and are on hand to give any advice about what to see and do.  There are many ways to explore the great outdoors here; grab a bike and cycle to one of the local villages, drive out to the coast and take a boat trip to see the seal colonies at Horsey, hire a canoe (just a few minutes from the campsite) and explore the Norfolk Broads from the water or walk one of the many pretty trails in the surrounding 80 acres of Whitlingham Country Park.  For winter sports lovers, Norfolk Snowsports is just down the road from the campsite where you can ski, snowboard, or just bomb down the dry slopes on an inflatable tube.  Two miles away is the lovely city of **Norwich** with its beautiful Castle - now a museum - packed with galleries of archaeology, natural history and art; the city also has some excellent restaurants, pubs and independent shops and is well worth a day trip.

At the end of a long day exploring some of Norfolk’s best bits, head back to **Whitlingham** **Campsite** and light a fire (fire pits can be hired if you don’t have your own), sit back and watch the sun setting….from your tent, yurt, treehouse in the woods or whatever your den for the night might be.  This is an outdoor adventure at its very best; a wonderful family friendly campsite with bags to do, lots to see and some fabulous adventures to be had.

We are a small traditional campsite that aims to offer a few luxuries and extras. We try to provide everything to make your stay with us enjoyable as possible.

We have 14 pitches, of which 10 have electric hook up. The campsite is a grass field (with native hedging, a willow living fence and a wood chip path meandering through). It provides us with the opportunity to create a warm, friendly, secluded, back-to-nature environment in which to camp. We aim to provide fantastic habitats for both wildlife and campers!

As a small and friendly, family-run business, we are not suitable for large or noisy groups. Our campsite is a great place to unwind, get away from it all and have fun, for a holiday or short break. We hope you’ll come and visit us soon.

For those of you that have your own equipment, we have seven oversize camping pitches spread around the meadow. They are mown into the meadow grass, each one atleast 14 metres diameter with a minimum of 10 metres between pitches. Each pitch has its own clean compost toilet, firepit and campgrill. There are hot showers available nearby.

Driftways Glamping & Camping is set in a picturesque 4.5 acre meadow in beautiful South Norfolk. It’s a small family site run by Vanessa and Andrew and their two small children.

The site offers an off-grid glamping and camping experience allowing guests to switch off, unplug and enjoy some downtime. It can also serve as a central base allowing you to discover the delights that Norfolk and Suffolk have to offer.

Driftways features five luxurious bell tents and seven camping pitches and is surrounded by farmland. With just twelve pitches, we recommend checking availability and booking as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Each pitch has its own clean compost toilet and camp fire area, with glamping pitches also featuring a fully equipped gas-fired kitchenette and picnic bench.  Access to gas/solar-powered showers is available for all guests.

Freedom of camping without the hassle, 44 mm thick Alpina 4 by 3m H profile.Perfect for cyclists, walkers and families who enjoy the outdoors to relax and unwind. It's spacious, cosy, full size sleeping space (sleeps four easily) a brilliant experience. Lockable french doors that open out wide, two good sized windows all double glazed. This is more secure than camping. Provides basic accommodation with a good wood floor, plenty of headroom.

Wrentham Field Farm Fisheries

Welcome to Field Farm Fisheries, a family run business which offers fishing, camping and a caravan site.

Field Farm Fisheries has its own touring caravan site, which is a nice hide away site overlooking the fisheries. The campsite is open from March until mid October.
Several pitches have electric hook up points. There are fresh water supply, four showers, hot taps, there are two sinks for campers to wash their dirty dishes, toilet block and there is a chemical waste disposal point, *Please note the washing block is open from 10th March until mid October* There is now a Gentlemens and Ladies shower block.

We now do caravan storage. Call for more details

The camp site is surrounded by our farm land with some nice walks. Tents, touring caravans, trailer tents, motorhomes all welcome. Easy access,the site is quite sheltered. Children and dogs are more than welcome. Dogs must be kept on a lead and you must clean up after them, we also charge £1 a night per dog on the campsite.

Latest check-in time is 9 pm unless otherwise agreed in advance.

Pitches are available from 12 Noon and to be departed by 12 Noon on day of departure unless otherwise arranged with the campsite manager. 
There is a large private field for dog walking which leads to a series of public footpaths.

Can’t decide between a bit of farm life, bright city lights and refreshing coastal explores? Ditch the dithering and pack the whole lot into one stay at Two Jays Farm: our small, family-friendly farm is in Horstead, a 20-minute drive from Norwich and half an hour from Norfolk’s beaches. You’ll be in good company here – in the adjacent fields your neighbours will be the farm's resident horses, goats and chickens, and you're welcome to bring along a four-legged pal of your own if you've got a dog that fancies the trip. Canine companion or no, this is a fine spot for getting out for a walk.
