*Marbury Camp and Lodge was established in 2018 overlooking the Cheshire Plains on the former Duchy of Lancaster Estate near Combermere Abbey.* Glamping holidays in the UK. Holidays for families in the North of England. Enjoy a holiday in the great outdoors in one of our our pods or your caravan. We are a small glamping site that caters for tents, caravans (Camping and Caravanning Club Members only new sign ups welcome) and the all important luxury glamping pods for all year round getaways. Whilst we may be small and new to glamping, we aim for quality relaxation for busy families and hope to make your stay as personal and enjoyable as possible. Family and couple friendly. We offer our clients a range of services from welcome packs, fire pits, fire wood and cycle hire. We do have plans to add to the services we offer, but will keep them a surprise for now. **General Facilities:** On site there are four showers, four toilets, four sinks, hand dryers, hairdryer and phone charging points. We also provide automated sanitiser units outside, next to the two dishwashing sinks - We have a sheltered chemical disposal point unit for portable toilet waste together with a handwash unit inside. - We have numerous mixed waste bins at the entrance, by the middle gate and by the loo block. The waste is separated off site for recycling. We also have dedicated food, glass and cardboard waste recycling bins on site. Please ensure you take home any non-general waste. The bins are provided for domestic waste, not tents, camping beds, camping chairs, fire pits complete with hot coals and burnt sausages. - We offer fire pit hire at a cost of £5 per night and £5 per large bucket of mixed kindling, soft and hardwood. You can bring your own BBQ’s and/or fire pits, but they must be far enough off the ground so as to not burn the grass. - We have a secure dog walking field on site for your pooches by the entrance gate. Whilst we cannot guarantee your pooch can escape, we’ve had none to date and it’s a good way to let the pooches off the lead for a good run around. Dogs must remain on a lead on the rest of the site and you must clean up after them. - We have a few adult bikes on site ready for hire, so you can enjoy the National Cycle route which we are on. If you need more than a few bikes, please get in touch and we will arrange something with a local hire shop. - We do offer a sanitary ‘freeze your packs off’ service subject to request.
Accommodation types
- Hawthorn Glamping Pod — The glamping pods were designed by us and sleep **up to 4 people.** There is a double bed in the bedroom, a double sofa bed in the lounge area and a separate shower and toilet. The pods come with full cooking facilities a refrigerator, eating area, television, central heating and patio overlooking the Cheshire plains. There is also a picnic bench and fire pit with each pod. We provide all the bedding you just **provide your own towels.** **Please note that the max number of people available to stay in the accommodation count in adults and children.**
- Grass Tent Pitch (Optional Electric) — For camping in tents, we have a camping field on a slight gradient. There are 12 x 6 amp hookup points on the field with drinking water and grey water drainage. As it’s a camping field we cannot allocate pitches, nor guarantee that you can pitch next to a friend. There is however usually enough space to camp where you want and a picnic table for each pitch.
- Oak Tree Glamping Pod — The glamping pods were designed by us and sleep **up to 4 people.** There is a double bed in the bedroom, a double sofa bed in the lounge area and a separate shower and toilet. The pods come with full cooking facilities a refrigerator, eating area, television, central heating and patio overlooking the Cheshire plains. There is also a picnic bench and fire pit with each pod. - Touring Pitch (Optional Electric) — There are currently 7 grass tourer pitches, 5 of which have a hardstanding area. Each pitch has its own 6 amp electric hookup with water and grey water drainage. The pitches are 11m x 11m. Pitches are not allocated before your arrival. Each pitch also has it’s own picnic table.
