On the south side of Edinburgh, within the city boundary and easy reach of the ring road, Mortonhall is superbly situated for visiting Edinburgh and the surrounding area. Our quality Holiday Homes, Shepherd Hut's and Wigwams are exactly what you require from an award winning Holiday Park that provides the perfect contrast of country living and city entertainment. Mortonhall Caravan & Camping Park Holiday Homes are centrally heated and double glazed and come with a fully equipped kitchen. They can sleep up to 6 (two bedrooms) or 8 (three bedrooms) comfortably with linen and towels included. We have easy access holiday homes that allow full wheelchair movement throughout and we are a pet friendly park. For those of you who want to be more at one with nature but have some home comforts too, then our Wigwams are for you. Available all year round they are very cosy, well insulated, made from sustainable wood and can accommodate up to five people. Each Wigwam contains a kettle, fridge, electric heater, microwave and TV. You will also enjoy a picnic table and stone built BBQ. The Wigwam kitchen, shower and WC facilities are also nearby. Don't forget to bring your bedding with you - just remember, if you need it for a tent, you'll need it for our Wigwam. Parking is provided near your Wigwam and children under 12 go half price, children under 5 go free. Book midweek for further reductions. NEW! for 2017, our bijou Shepherd Huts offer a bespoke alternative experience. Our King size bed with Egyptian cotton bed linen, duck feather duvets and pillows sleeps two (three with the addition of a cot or camp bed), en suite, log effect stove heating with cosy fireside chairs, semi self catering. Watch the smart tv or listen to the DAB radio. Stable door to the entrance and outdoors is a picnic bench and CCTV monitored car parking area. Minimum 2 nights stay. Mortorhome, caravan touring and camping guests can be accommodated on either grass or hard standing pitches with or without electricity and with easy access to shower, WC and chemical disposal facilities. There is a launderette with ironing facility on site and numerous picnic benches and play areas for children. Try our fantastic all weather BBQ. Seating up to 12 the traditional Scandinavian design provides the opportunity to enjoy your BBQ whatever the weather. Nearby Attractions Situated on the main bus route you're only fifteen minutes from Castles, National Museums, Galleries, Theatres, Restaurants and during the summer months the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Just ask at reception about an all day bus pass. Hillend Ski Slope is only 2km away can be seen from the park. It is the longest dry ski slope in Europe.
