A tranquil site set in the beautiful Shropshire countryside, next to the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty of Wenlock Edge. Situated at the base of the Edge we have abundant bird life and stunning countryside to walk in straight from the site or a half mile drive away is a National Trust car park for Wenlock Edge. Walk along Wenlock Edge in May and you will see wild garlic carpeting the slopes. Views from the top are breathtaking with The Wrekin and Long Mynd in the distance. The site backs on to a disused railway which was once the Wenlock to Craven Arms branch line. With its Victorian stone bridge a feature of the CL. The site is ideal for walkers and nature lovers with the birds making the most of our bird boxes and feeders. Wake up to the dawn chorus. Take advantage of our information hut with wildlife books to borrow and leaflets about walks and local attractions. We are only 2 miles from the medieval market town of Much Wenlock with its independent shops, pubs, restaurants, Abbey ruins and the best butchers for miles around. Ironbridge and Coalbrookdale are only 9 miles away with their excellent museums and beautiful Bridgnorth the same distance where you can board a steam train on the Severn Valley Railway. Historic Shrewsbury is 12 miles and Ludlow 18 miles. All pitches are fully serviced, hard standing, 16 amp EHU with a recycling and waste bin on each pitch and a long grey waste hose to borrow.
