Windmill Hill City Farm was formed in 1976 by a volunteer band of local residents determined to see an item of inner city wasteland put to more use that is effective providing the local community the chance to experience agriculture in the center associated with the city.It now offers academic and leisure facilities and activities for local people including a variety of farmyard animals, community gardens, picnic area, cafe serving homemade food, an adventure play ground, community building with conference spaces, a five-a-side pitch, environmental and craft-based courses, and a totally qualified and CRB checked nursery for kiddies aged from three months to five years old.
