Dave, Vicki, Phoebe and Jack Lawrence would like to welcome you to Knightstone Farm Glamping retreat, a luxury glamping site set on their family farm in the heart of the stunning East Devon countryside. Knightstone's luxury lodges are tucked into the corner of beautiful Ottery St Mary, pastureland grazed by the farms dairy cattle looking onto East Hill’s woodland with Knightstone's lake just metres away. On the farm you will also find a small flock of sheep that are all rather friendly and are grazed close to the glamping site. Various free range chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, rabbits, ponies and the best animals of all... five Pygmy goats, which you are more than welcome to come and visit (by appointment only). This wonderful glamping site is in an enclosed meadow of approximately one and a half acres. Here you will share the setting with an intriguing range of wildlife. Based just outside of Ottery St Mary, Knightstone is a working family farm and therefore cattle from the dairy herd will be grazing in some of the fields, but the glamping meadow is completely enclosed. The farm is a five minute walk from the lodge so you can keep yourselves to yourselves or take a short walk to the farm and see the day to day running (by appointment only). Here at Knightstone we encourage you to walk through our fields (over 100 acres) and enjoy all the wildlife there is to see from rabbits, hares, pheasants, deer, foxes, buzzards, kestrels, owls and beavers, that were found on our stretch of the river in 2013. There are traditional Devon hedgerows, streams and rivers, woodland, and a Pixies Cave for you to explore. You will be transformed to another world – bird song, fresh air, starry skies, amazing views, peace and tranquillity.

- Beaver's Lodge Safari Tent — Beaver's Lodge Safari Tent is more like a tented lodge and is based around an African style safari tent where you will find nature at your fingertips. The tent is built on a wooden platform with a canvas exterior and wooden partitions dividing into rooms which enable you to congregate together as a family or relax in your own private areas. Our lodge comfortably sleeps four people with one double bed in the master room and twin beds in a separate room that would comfortably sleep two adults. The lodge has been furnished giving a ‘home from home’ feel especially with having an on-site bathroom at the back of the tent with a private toilet and shower, you will also find your own walk in wardrobe/store. There is also has a log burning range cooker, fully working gas hob and a gas fridge along with everything required to make your stay extra special. What a way to enjoy the outdoors... whether it’s gazing up at the stars at night or sitting back and relaxing - the hot tub is an absolutely brilliant addition to our safari tent. Set at an angle to Otter's Holt you will feel quite private and have your own large decked-area - complete with a wood-fired hot tub and table and chairs to the front and sun loungers to the side of the tent - a great place for soaking up the sun and enjoying the fabulous views and sounds of the countryside. Our hot tub is refreshed for every new guests arrival and is re-filled with our own spring water. Due to the fact we completely refill the tub before your arrival please do not expect the tub to be hot when you arrive but it will only take a few hours for it to heat hot enough before you may wish to jump in. - Otter's Holt Shepherd's Hut — Your beautifully hand-crafted, traditionally styled hut is just beautiful inside and out... get busy doing nothing in this idyllic back-to-nature family retreat. Otter's Holt can comfortably sleep two plus a cot, or four persons without a cot (2 adults, 2 children). This postcard-pretty bespoke Shepherd's Hut is not short of grown-up luxuries, with hot tub and fabulous views of the countryside... there is no compromise on comfort here. In your Shepherd's Hut you will all find a king-size deep mattress, a bunk bed where the top bed will fold up to reveal a comfortable seating area. A cleverly designed kitchen where you will then find a Belfast sink, two-ring hob, mini oven and fridge. You will also find a separate bathroom with a flushing loo and lovely warm shower. To keep you warm on a cold winter nights there is also a wood-burning stove which adds that extra atmosphere. If you like the idea of sitting by your fire pit watching the flames dance, or in your toasty relaxing hot tub you might hear a fox calling, an owl hooting along the valley or the farm’s cattle gently settling down for the evening, this is certainly for you. Set at an angle to Beaver's Lodge you will feel quite private and have your own large patio-area - complete with a wood-fired hot tub and table and chairs to the front and sun loungers and delightful pizza oven to the side of the hut - a great place for soaking up the sun and enjoying the fabulous views and sounds of the countryside.
