5M Canvas Bell Tent - Fully Furnished 

Hengrave Meadow is a quiet adult only retreat with just three luxury bell tents each with their own bathroom on a two acre meadow, giving our guests private space to breathe and relax. The perfect Norfolk getaway.

Children are welcome when booking all three tents with family or friends giving you exclusive use of the meadow.

We have been lifelong campers and have passed the love of outdoor life to our two (grown up) children.   In fact, it started with Duncan’s parents.  Dad Brian said “It doesn’t matter if you come out of a five star hotel or a tent, so long as you have slept warm, dry and comfortable”. We understand what makes a great camping experience and have taken this to the next level with Hengrave Glamping!

You'll have Pygmy goats and sheep as neighbours and access to all the facilities of our canine business hub, (as well as the human creature comforts of a hot shower, washing up area and indoor WC as well as two flushing toilets on the campsite itself).

Just one mile from the market town of Wymondham and its fascinating heritage, shops and pubs, and easy access to the rest our wonderful county has to offer from beaches to forests.

​All our Bell Tents are decked out in funky vintage and retro wares, fully carpeted with coir matting and have a massive 5m footprint.

​Perfect for families, each tent can comfortably sleep up to 6, with two double futons and two fab foldout foam beds. Or, for those looking for a little bit of peace and quiet, why not come and stay for a nice chilled out weekend with your partner and enjoy a few nights under canvas? 

These tents also boast a porch area! Hazel, Spindle and Maple are pitched on the grass at the top of the upper (car free) meadow.

​Whether you are flinging open the double doors open to embrace the summer sunshine or cosying up around the log burner, a stay in Lola is the perfect way to enjoy Norwich and the Broads.

Our pitches are spread across the upper and lower meadow, both situated just a few minutes walk from the Whitlingham Broad Visitor Centre and cafe, with all the walks, activities and peaceful hideaways the Country Park has to offer.

The Upper Meadow is a car free haven with great views across the Country Park to the Broad. Parking is a few metres from the pitches and we provide specialised luggage transportation devices; which look a little like customised wheel barrows! There is also an access track for dropping kit off.

Upper Meadow (Non-Electric Grass Pitch)

Our pitches are spread across the upper and lower meadow, both situated just a few minutes walk from the Whitlingham Broad Visitor Centre and cafe, with all the walks, activities and peaceful hideaways the Country Park has to offer. ​The lower meadow accommodates tents, camper-vans & small motorhomes (no caravans or large trailer tents).
If you prefer to have your car next to your tent the Lower Meadow can accommodate one car.

Lower Meadow (Non-Electric Grass Pitch)

Welcome to the wonderful Whitlingham Yurt, inspired by traditional Mongolian yurts but with a few twists to adapt it to our climate and add some touches of luxury.

Our yurt has a 6m footprint and comes fully furnished with a solid wood double bed including bedding, two comfy double futons and a cosy wood burner.

Brand new for 2021, our bespoke designed woodland cabins are nestled in the wooded valley side of our campsite, raised up from the forest floor offering wonderful open views across the camping meadows down to the broad at the front, and historic, private woodland on the other 3 sides.

Each den sleeps up to 4 people, with a king size bed on the mezzanine floor, and comfortable, pull out beds in the living area.

Flint and Chalk woodland dens have their own balcony, decking area and private woodland glade complete with fire-pit, BBQ, seating and hammocks. You can simply relax and enjoy being immersed in the woodland.

**Whitlingham Broad Campsite** is an absolute corker; lovers of the great outdoors will find everything they need and bags more at this unique, friendly, well run and brilliantly situated campsite.  Just a short stroll to the historic city of **Norwich** and in 80 acres of beautiful countryside on the edge of the **Norfolk Broads National Park**, this campsite couldn’t be better placed to enjoy some of the very best of what **Norfolk** has to offer.

There is a wide variety of awesome accommodation here and something for everyone; the quandary might be choosing which one to book.  If you have your own kit, there is a simple camping field with lots of grassy pitches, all with glorious views across the Country Park.  One field is tents only and vehicle free so super safe for the kids gadding about; the other field allows tents, small campervans and small motorhomes - all wonderfully electricity free - so it is chilled out, fuss-free,family friendly camping at its best here.  There’s an excellent amenities block, an outdoor washing up area and in between the two fields, there is an epic wooden adventure playground.  A handy shop selling camping essentials, snacks and lots more is onsite -  and they’ll even charge your phone for you.

If you haven’t got your own camping gear, a bevvy of glamping alternatives await.  Choose from one of their lovely boutique bell tents, decked out in funky vintage decor and sleeping 6, or the cosy shepherds hut for 3 with a woodburning stove for colder evenings.  There are also two fabulous converted railway good wagons - Bertie and Ronnie - for a stay with a difference, or a beautiful and spacious **Mongoliglan yurt**; all these three have their own decking area, a woodburner and a hammock for lazing about.  And - new for 2021 - the creative geniuses that run Whitlingham Broad Campsite have built two **Woodland dens**; luxury **treehouses** raised up off the woodland floor on stilts, with breathtaking views out across the countryside. 

You’ll want to stay here for weeks, not days.  The surrounding countryside is awesome, and the very welcoming owners know a vast amount about the area and are on hand to give any advice about what to see and do.  There are many ways to explore the great outdoors here; grab a bike and cycle to one of the local villages, drive out to the coast and take a boat trip to see the seal colonies at Horsey, hire a canoe (just a few minutes from the campsite) and explore the Norfolk Broads from the water or walk one of the many pretty trails in the surrounding 80 acres of Whitlingham Country Park.  For winter sports lovers, Norfolk Snowsports is just down the road from the campsite where you can ski, snowboard, or just bomb down the dry slopes on an inflatable tube.  Two miles away is the lovely city of **Norwich** with its beautiful Castle - now a museum - packed with galleries of archaeology, natural history and art; the city also has some excellent restaurants, pubs and independent shops and is well worth a day trip.

At the end of a long day exploring some of Norfolk’s best bits, head back to **Whitlingham** **Campsite** and light a fire (fire pits can be hired if you don’t have your own), sit back and watch the sun setting….from your tent, yurt, treehouse in the woods or whatever your den for the night might be.  This is an outdoor adventure at its very best; a wonderful family friendly campsite with bags to do, lots to see and some fabulous adventures to be had.



Whitlingham Broad Campsite

Pitch that is dog friendly, set amongst the arable fields and livestock grazing pastures, our adults-only campsite combines complete tranquillity with beautiful farmland scenery and Norfolk’s famous big skies. It is the perfect place to switch off and enjoy total relaxation.

Eves Hill Farm’s camping site is the perfect base from which to explore Norfolk and an ideal place to spend some time if you enjoy walking, birdwatching, cycling, painting or simply the unspoilt countryside. We are also within walking distance of the picturesque market town of Reepham, with its superb selection of shops and places to eat and drink.
We welcome tents, caravans and motorhomes. (Sorry, but no children).

Eves Hill Farm is a family run mixed arable and grassland farm of nearly 400 acres.
We, the Buxton family, have been farming at Eves Hill since 1960 with Jeremy Buxton the third generation to be running the farm, in partnership with parents, Robert and Rita.
Eves Hill Farm has a long history of cattle farming. Today, we are breeders of fine native pedigree poll Hereford cattle, complemented by a commercial suckler herd. We also grow spring barley, winter wheat and oil seed rape.
Eves Hill is managed under the High Level Stewardship (HLS) scheme. Over the past few years, we have planted miles of hedgerows, new woodlands and hundreds of native trees. Field margins have been established with wild flowers to attract insects, especially pollinators like bees and butterflies. This has created new and diverse habitats, preserved the local landscape and made a wonderful environment to farm and for our Hereford herd to live in.
The farm is host to a huge array of different birds and animals. Birdlife includes buzzards, skylarks, game birds (including grey partridge), song birds and owls to name but a few. We have successfully introduced English partridges, who are now nesting on the farm, and our population of lapwings is growing.
We plant areas of bird feed to help the bird population on the farm through the winter and owl boxes have been erected around the farm in conjunction with the Hawk & Owl Trust.
It is also very common to see hares on our fields, and many deer roaming around the farm.

The slender towers of the church of St Michael the Archangel dominate the wide East Anglian landscape for miles around. This amazingly decorative and extraordinary building was the creation of one man – eccentric clergyman Reverend Whitwell Elwin – a descendant of Pocahontas. Elwin not only raised the funds for the building, he also designed it – without the help of an architect – borrowing details from other churches throughout the country.

Can’t decide between a bit of farm life, bright city lights and refreshing coastal explores? Ditch the dithering and pack the whole lot into one stay at Two Jays Farm: our small, family-friendly farm is in Horstead, a 20-minute drive from Norwich and half an hour from Norfolk’s beaches. You’ll be in good company here – in the adjacent fields your neighbours will be the farm's resident horses, goats and chickens, and you're welcome to bring along a four-legged pal of your own if you've got a dog that fancies the trip. Canine companion or no, this is a fine spot for getting out for a walk. Set off on foot or cycle along woodland paths and riverbanks to take in sights like the Bure Valley Railway, Horstead Mill on the River Bure (where you can jump into the water for a wild swim if it's getting a tad warm) and pretty market towns along the way. Your reward at the end of a lengthy walk – perhaps a good feed at one of the nearby foodie pubs? The nearest is less than 10 minutes walk from the site, and there are a few more to choose from – along with some takeaways and a supermarket – in nearby Coltishall village, which is a 20-minute walk away (or a few minutes drive).

Park Farm Camping Norfolk

Sitting close to the border with Suffolk, all of the attractions of East Anglia are within reasonable reach. Norwich is a half hour drive (20 miles) away, with The Norfolk Broads stretching towards the coast just beyond the city. Thetford Forest Park is 20 miles in the other direction. The closest beaches are an hour away and the North Norfolk Coast, a little more.

Food & Drink
There’s an honesty shop with the basics on site and you couldn’t get much closer to the nearest farm shop; Rookery Meadows, just across the field and offering all sorts of local produce including breakfast boxes with everything you need for a full English.

For a meal or drink out, you can walk to The Crown in Great Ellingham a mile away. Or perhaps try The White Hart in Hingham or The Mulberry Tree White Lodge or Breckland Lodge in Attleborough. All are within five miles of site.
