Saunton is an awesome beach to teach, learn and progress on. It helps us in the development of new standards and techniques and its also a great playground. The beach is known for its long, slow waves although the high tidal range can shake things up, the great thing is that even when busy you can escape the crowds along the 3 miles of shoreline and the atmosphere is mellow and friendly.

Lessons and Courses
Walking on Waves offers surf lessons to people of all ages and abilities. Whether its your first time getting into a wetsuit or youre an all-seasons board rider, we can introduce you to surfing, improve your riding or fundamentally rebuild your surfing skills.

Group sessions
Our group surf lessons and courses range from one hour to three days. We meet up on our decking area, at the top of the beach slip road, and get to know each other. Then we move to the beach for a quick briefing before its into the water for your surfing experience with the help of Sarahs expert on-the-water coaching techniques.
