# Woodland Camping Based in Oakworth, West Yorkshire, our 10 acre woodland is ready to welcome you for proper camping, the back to basics camping, the nearly wild camping and something we very much love - hammock camping! Family friendly, feel safe knowing cars are only permitted in the car park so your children can run free within the woodland. Park up in the carpark near the site entrance, then grab your gear and the staff will guide you to a suitable pitch for your requirements. Wheelbarrows are available to help carry your gear through the woods. Love nature? Then you’ll love this site. It’s back to basics proper camping here, with drinking water standpipe, and now we have flushing toilets and hand wash sinks in our new toilet block. Our pitches are well spaced from one another and well sized, however, smaller tents (and/or hammocks) are recommended as our whole site is woodland there are trees within pitch areas, so we only have limited places to put large tents. Please tell us your tent size when booking so that we can get the best pitch for you. Located in Oakworth in the heart of the Bronte countryside there are lots of nearby attractions with Haworth just a 5 minute drive away and the market town of Skipton on 25 minutes away too. There are plenty of country walks around here (and excellent country pubs too). The area is famous for cycling too, with the Tour de France and Tour de Yorkshire both having passed by the end of the lane in recent years.
Accommodation types
- Woodland Pitch - Small Tents — Woodland pitch, accessible by foot, is a short walk (upto 5 mins) from the carpark. Wheelbarrows are on hand to help you carry your gear to your pitch. **Please note:** Tent sizes are limited to 4m x 3m due to the trees in your pitch area. Though don't worry, you'll have plenty of space in our woodland to spread out, with each pitch area being approximately 15m x 15m. We're happy for you to bring tarp shelters and multiple tents to pitch within your area at no extra costs. Two people and one car is included in the pitch price, additional cars need to be booked separately.
- Woodland Pitch - Large Tents — Woodland pitch, accessible by foot, is a short walk (upto 5 mins) from the carpark. Wheelbarrows are on hand to help you carry your gear to your pitch. **Please note:** Tent sizes are limited to 7m x 4m due to the trees in your pitch area. Though don't worry, you'll have plenty of space in our woodland to spread out, with each pitch area being approximately 15m x 15m. We're happy for you to bring tarp shelters and pup tents to pitch within your area at no extra costs. Two people and one car is included in the pitch price, additional cars need to be booked separately. Fires are allowed, however there's a small charge even if you bring your wood. This enables us to ensure fire safety regulations are adhered to and the risk of forest fires is kept to a minimum. Pay on site for this. Dogs welcome at no extra charge.
