The T Barn

The T Barn is a collection of farm projects set in the middle of Barnsley, a quintessentially Cotswold village. After spending the first few years on the farm splitting time between working in food & events in London, helping milk the cows and raising their sons, Eloise started to look for opportunities to put her own stamp on farm life. The barn, once so integral to farm life, had become storage space for farm equipment and seemed the obvious place to start. Now the evolution of farm diversification begins, shepherds huts, asado barbecue farm suppers, weddings and parties, floristry workshops, and we are always open to suggestions…. The farm is a beautiful spot and one that we are committed to sharing with others, the land rolls outwards across the valley providing lush pastures for the cows. Original stone barns, stables, pig stys, shepherds huts and an old bakehouse show the evolution of farming over the centuries.
Accommodation types
- Bell Tent: Mimi / Bridget / Naine — Real comfortable beds with fresh linen and towels and a wood burning stove to keep cosy in the evenings. There's plenty of space for each tent, outdoor seating and firepit (tripod, steel plate, pot with lid and kettle) with simple cooking equipment including cutlery, crockery, colander, tin opener, bottle opener, fish slice, tongs etc. Its all off-grid so there’s no fridge; best to bring a cool box. Facilities for both grass pitches and bell tents include hot showers, luxury compost loos and washing up hut. We are off-grid here, a few solar lights lead the way but this is a chance to disconnect from the buzz of life. Please note its a 30 minute walk or short drive to the shepherds hut & hot tub field.

- Shepherd's Hut: Dora / Marjorie / June — Simple, luxe hut with king-sized bed, fine linens, towels, ensuite shower & compost loo, wood burning stove, kitchenette with gas hob and small fridge. Outside is set up to encourage guests to connect with nature, relax in the wood-fired hot tub, kick back in the deckchairs and cook over the firepit. We love cooking over fire and provide each hut with tripod, cast iron fire-cooking equipment. Firepit meal hampers can be added to your stay. We provide two crates of wood for each stay and there's a woodshed with an honesty box to restock. There is parking for each hut by the entrance and guests wheelbarrow their belongings to the huts.
