# Norfolk Tank Museum

> REOPENING SOON! SUNDAY 12th JULY! We are very pleased to announce that the Norfolk Tank Museum will be reopening, under social distancing guidelines, from Sunday 12th July 2020, 10-5. We will be opening two days a week, Sundays and Tuesdays, and hope to gradually return to normal opening hours as the COVID-19 crisis eases and volunteers have more availability. Unfortunately in the short term we will not be able to offer Vehicle rides or allow people inside the vehicles. Hopefully these restrictions will be lifted in the near future. The Norfolk Tank Museum is extremely disappointed to announce that ARMOURFEST 2020 will unfortunately not be taking place this year. Included in the collection are Chieftain and Centurion tanks, plus trucks being amphibious scout cars. There clearly was a surface to atmosphere missile system and displays of smaller things like weapons and kit. Young ones (and adults!) may even put on some real uniforms, a fantastic picture possibility when you are the kit that is full. The employees that is friendly entirely made up of volunteers, many of whom are ex serviceman and for that reason exceedingly knowledgeable, about tools and history with lots of technical detail. There clearly was an armoury with a number of heavy guns and automatic weapons to see and an opportunity for a ride in just one of the tracked automobiles throughout the demonstrating grounds for a little fee that is extra.
