Additionally, even though the caves' entry chambers can be examined taking a stand, care should be taken at the rear of Reindeer Cave where it falls right down to a crawl means, while you do not want to lose the kids down there!Historic Scotland has designated the caves as an Ancient Monument, and Scottish National Heritage as a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
