Deep in rural Somerset, Splatt Farm Gardens is a spacious meadow campsite with fabulous views of the Quantock Hills. OUR STORY After many years in the rat race of London, we decided as a family to invest in a simpler and more sustainable life. So, we decided to leave the hustle and bustle of London chaos and enjoy life in the countryside in the quiet of the Somerset hills. We are also delighted to announce the arrival of new baby Bodhi to have joined the family in March 2021. Our vision is as simple as the life we are aspiring towards: to create a happy and sustainable planet and our method is to create a microcosm of this utopia in the small way that we can using the space and resources we have available to us. By 2025, we aim for a holistic wellbeing and happiness centre, with camping, glamping, meditation retreats, tours of the project and a sustainable agriculture education centre - enjoy it with us as we continue on our journey to grow and develop into something beautiful... CAMPSITE RULES Here at Splatt Farm, we don't want to create unnecessary and restrictive rules. However, in order to ensure the happiness of all of our guests and neighbours, we ask that all guests follow the following: 1. Once unpacked and set up, please park your cars at the top end of the field near the entrance. No cars may be parked on or near camping pitches. 2. All fires, BBQs and stoves must be within the fire pit area on your pitch. 3. No amplified music is allowed on site after 9pm and no noise at all that disturbs others is allowed after 11pm. 4. This is an eco-friendly site. All recyclable rubbish must be separated and placed in the appropriate bin and all non-recyclable waste must be taken off-site with you. 5. Check-in is from 2pm and check-out is by 10am. 6. If your group is under 21, a behaviour deposit of £20 per person is required and if your group is under 18, no alcohol is allowed. 7. Your camping pitch must be left as you found it.
Accommodation types
- Pitch 3 - Toadstool Town — This space features a dug-out fire pit area. Max 8 guests. We charge per child per night - so please multiply number of children by number of nights. E.g. 1 child for 2 nights please add "2"
- Pitch 5 - Rainbow Ranch Bell Tent Glamping — Please note there is a minimum booking of 2 nights for our bell tent. Your hire includes: 5m Canvas Bell Tent, Double bed and mattress, Bed linen, Duvet, LED Lantern, Three floor rugs, Scatter cushions, Fairy lights, Bunting, and a dug-out fire pit area. Fires will still need to be off-ground and fire pits can be hired from us if you don't have your own. Our 5 metre Bell tent can accommodate up to 4 people. A double bed is included in the booking and up to two additional camp beds can be added as an extra. There is also space on the pitch for additional guests to pitch their own tents if you wish. *Electric is not provided. - Pitch 1: Pumpkin Patch — This is the closest pitch to the compost toilet and features a dug-out fire pit area. Max 8 guests. We charge per child per night - so please multiply number of children by number of nights. E.g. 1 child for 2 nights please add "2"
- Pitch 2: Stargazers — This space features a dug-out fire pit area. Max 10 guests. We charge per child per night - so please multiply number of children by number of nights. E.g. 1 child for 2 nights please add "2"
- Pitch 4 - Enchanted Forest — This space features a dug-out fire pit area. Max 8 guests. We charge per child per night - so please multiply number of children by number of nights. E.g. 1 child for 2 nights please add "2"
- Individual Camper (Solo) (No Fire Pit) — General Camping space for individuals or groups - no fires are allowed in this area as there is no fire pit available. Upon arrival in the field, stay right and come up the track to the small red building (compost toilet). Keep going all the way to the bell tent, turn left and the general camping areas are on the left hand side.
