Springfields Countryside Caravan and Camping is very well maintained, very welcoming - small and friendly site with Stunning views over our local countryside from every spacious grass pitch. Located in a beautiful location, this countryside touring campsite is nestled off a quiet country lane in the heart of Staffordshire Moorlands just 200 meters off the main "A 521" Draycott Road and just 7 miles to the east of Stoke on Trent. About the Site; This popular campsite has been in operation for more than 26 years and has always been a great place for caravans, motorhomes and now tent campers to stay especially for visitors to Alton Towers Theme Park which is just a few miles down the road from the site. Springfields has 3.5 acres with lots of spare room for the whole family to stretch out and a great area for walking your pooch. Carefully located, each pitch is very well spaced and all offer fabulous views of the meandering Staffordshire Moorlands hills. Each of the fully serviced tent or caravan or motorhome pitches and also the rental tent pitches includes 10-Amp electric hook-up, fresh drinking water and a grey waste water drainage for you to enjoy. Idyllic caravan and camp site situated perfectly for a holiday with stunning views of the Staffordshire Moorlands and only a 20 minute drive from Alton Towers and local villages offer pubs, restaurants, takeaways and a supermarket are all less than 1 mile away.
Accommodation types
- Glamping Tent - Large Glamping Bell Tent sleeps upto 5 people (two of this type available, price shown is for one tent only). — Rent a large 6M Bell Tent with a maximum capacity of up to four people per bell tent It is ideal for anyone who likes the idea of camping but without all the setting up required. Inside it's equipped with one double bed and two or three single folding beds and seating for four with a dining table, bedside tables and a coffee table . There is lighting indoors and out and also an electric heater and electric kettle inside, bedside lamps and USB plug in charging points. Electricity is included in the rental price. Outside is car parking next to pitch, a bench style table for six with large umbrella and a free to use fire pit. Firewood can be purchased onsite or bring your own. Each of our two Rental Bell Tents are on large inividual pitches and are sited next to each other. You will need to bring all camping items with you such as bedding or sleeping bags and pillows, pots, pans, plates, cups, gas stove etc but if you don't want to cook, there are several local food takeaway options to choose from within a mile of the campsite. Friendly dogs welcome (maximum two per pitch).
- Non-Electric Grass Pitch — Camping pitches suitable for caravans, motorhomes or tents. Pitches are on firm grass on a very minor slope, with a fresh water supply nearby. Including. Friendly dogs welcome (maximum two per pitch).
- Fully Serviced Grass Pitch — Fully serviced pitches set on level, firm grass, suitable for caravans, motorhomes or tents. Includes one awning and one pup tent per pitch. Each of the fully serviced tent or caravan or motorhome pitches and also the rental tent pitches includes 10-Amp electric hook-up, fresh drinking water and a grey waste water drainage for you to enjoy. Friendly dogs welcome (maximum two per pitch).
- Star bell tent — Our new for 2025 Star Bell Tents are ready pitched rental tents which will accomodate a maximum of 5 people. .4 peolpe and 1 car are included in the base price of £70 per night. Each tent has a 10 amp electric socket and USB charging point and internal lighting. A table and 4 chairs is inside and a table/bench outside and also a fire pit. Firewood is available for puirchase onsite. Each Star Bell Tent stands in its own large indiviual pitch. There are shared ladies and gents toliet and shower facilities onsite and also a Campers Kitchen with a Fridge, a freezer, and microwave oven and a kettle as well as dishwashing facilities all free of charge for you to use.
