Headswood Farm Luxury Lodges | Located on Hadrians Wall Headswood Farm has a most enviable position situated directly on Hadrian s Wall and offers four glorious luxury, individually decorated, en-suite micro-lodges that can be booked from as little as a single night. Our newly-built micro lodges are fully kitted-out, insulated and heated pods with en-suite shower rooms and mini kitchens, Freeview TV and free WiFi. Each is designed to sleep two people plus one dog. Headswood Farm, built in the 1700 s, actually straddles part of Hadrian s Wall (between miles 56 and 57), in a rural location, about 12 miles east of Carlisle and is a great place to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

The picture postcard village of Brampton is close at hand and the city of Carlisle is within easy reach. Touring distance of the Lake District, Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. Visit the Roman ruins at Housesteads, Birdoswald and Vindolanda. Or enjoy a trip to and the ancient woodland at Gelt Woods or Talkin Tarn Country Park.

Relax and enjoy the magnificent views and enjoy the direct walking routes from the property onto Hadrian’s Walk. Located only a short drive from the historic market town of Brampton and within easy reach of the city of Carlisle, with its excellent leisure and shopping facilities. Visit Talkin Tarn Country Park, for water sports such as canoeing and open water swimming. Explore Gelt Woods which is an ancient woodland with the River Gelt running through. Discover the Roman ruins at Housesteads, Birdoswald and Vindolanda. Close to the stunning Northern Lakes, Eden Valley and the rugged Scottish Borders. Through the enclosed garden, you are met with this delightful lodge pod. Perfect for a luxurious romantic glamping experience. On entering the property you will find the comfortable sleeping area with a double bed to the rear of the pod. The lounge area with TV, is the perfect place to relax after a day out exploring the local area. There is a dining table with seating, ideal for romantic gatherings. The kitchen area is well-equipped with electric single ring hob, fridge/freezer and microwave. Next, through the door you will find the spacious shower room with shower and WC. Venturing outside is the private decked area with seating where you can enjoy the magnificent countryside views across Hadrian’s Walk or take a relaxing dip in the hot tub. This is a perfect area for al fresco dining or perhaps enjoy a nice glass of wine or a good local ale. You may also get the opportunity to spot the regular visitors including deer, red squirrels, barn owls, hare, rabbits, red kite and lots of garden birds. There is ample off-road parking available for the property. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week.
