The Orchard Campsite

The Orchard Campsite is set in over 11 acres on the edge of the Suffolk village of Wickham Market. Close to the Suffolk Heritage Coast and Rendlesham Forest. The site offers a friendly, family atmosphere in a quiet rural setting with a variety of pitches to suit most tastes. The Orchard has been in Alan Hammond’s family for three generations. Alan first opened the campsite over 25 years ago. No check in or out times.
Accommodation types
- Safari Tent — Superb 2 bedroom Safari Tent with kitchen, sitting/dining area and private shower and WC. Fully equipped with kitchen utensils, cooking equipment and everything you need for a fabulous stay. All you need to bring is your own bedding! Situated so that you can enjoy an evening drink on your own private veranda, looking out over the pond.
- Non Electric Pitch — Non electric pitches set in over 11 acres of land. Caravans, motorhomes, campervans, tents or trailer tents are all permitted.
- Pre-Erected Electric Tent — We have the brilliant Helsport Valhall tents (subject to availabilty) on site, with electric hookup available on arrangement. Developed for extreme weather, its design and build ensures it is warm and functional whatever time of the year you stay. The Valhall features three distinct areas which are separated by inner tent walls. The price includes rental of the tent and pitch – and up to 4 adults on the pitch (no limit on number of children). Please note that whilst we do accomodate for 1 night stays, you will still be charged the amount for 2 nights.
- Electric Pitch — Pitches with electric hookup available, 10 of which offer freesat TV as an option. Caravans, motorhomes, campervans, tents or trailer tents are all permitted.
