Run by friendly and helpful Wendy and Maurice, Barford Top is 12 miles from the city of Leicester and seven from Market Harborough; London is an hour and a half from the latter. The site has been set up as a peaceful retreat for guests to stay in a land of spectacular sunsets, sunrises and top stargazing because of the region's low light pollution, and in a wildlife haven where you should be able to spot sparrowhawks, buzzards and rabbits.
