# Barford Top

Base yourself at Barford Top Campsite for a peaceful adults-only stay among Leicestershire hills and countryside, or use the place as a base for day trips to London under an hour and a half away: either way, spectacular views come as standard.

Run by friendly and helpful Wendy and Maurice, Barford Top is 12 miles from the city of Leicester and seven from Market Harborough; London is an hour and a half from the latter. The site has been set up as a peaceful retreat for guests to stay in a land of spectacular sunsets, sunrises and top stargazing because of the region's low light pollution, and in a wildlife haven where you should be able to spot sparrowhawks, buzzards and rabbits.
