Built in the 1920's as a farm labourer's cottage, Beggshill Bothy has been completely refurbished to create a cosy one bedroom dog friendly holiday cottage away from hectic day to day living. Situated in a peaceful valley approximately 5 miles from the creative town of Huntly, it is the perfect location to get away from it all, relax, and explore the North East of Scotland. Walking, cycling and fishing are all on our doorstep, whilst beautiful beaches are only a 40 minute drive away. We are surrounded by wildlife; watch the deer graze in the clearing opposite, sit back and listen to the birds, or see if you can spot the hare frolicking by the lane. The owl can be heard most nights, and pheasants are frequently attempting suicide on the lane! Without any light pollution, the night sky is truly beautiful. ---------- Multiple dogs are very welcome to holiday with their humans at Beggshill Bothy at no extra cost. Whilst all dogs MUST be kept on leads immediately outside the Bothy (without exception) the secure Dog Paddock is available for you to use. ---------- The living room contains a sofa, television & DVD player, and small music system. A selection of books, DVD's and board games are provided for those rainy days or lazy evenings. The kitchen area has a tall fridge/freezer, oven/hob with extractor fan, sink and slim line dishwasher. We supply all the cutlery and crockery you might need. There is also a microwave, toaster and coffee maker. The shower room contains the toilet, sink and shower. Towels are provided. The bedroom contains a comfy double bed with bedside drawers at each side. There is also a vanity table with mirror as well as a large wardrobe. Sheets and bedding are provided. A digital alarm clock and hairdryer can be found in the bedroom drawers. Outside you will find a table and chairs, as well as a bench overlooking the valley; the perfect spot for a morning cuppa. ---------- Please be aware that communication at Beggshill Bothy can be hit and miss. Many mobile phones will not work and the WiFi is very poor. Smoking is not permitted inside Beggshill Bothy.
