Guests staying at the campsite will be treated to glorious views across Somerset to the Mendips, Glastonbury Tor and the Quantock hills. Cripps Farm Holidays have lots of accommodation options and something for everyone. There are 29 seasonal pitches, fully serviced and with either a riverside or countryside view - both stunning - which make for a rather special permanent holiday retreat for those who manage to bag one. Not to worry if you don’t, there are also six good sized touring pitches, fully serviced and boasting possibly some of the loveliest riverside spots in Somerset. In addition to this, they have 4 self catering cottages to book as well, all within the same carefully looked after and landscaped grounds, with pristine flowers beds and well-mown fields. There are a number of peaceful walks around the campsite’s surrounding fields, including a long enclosed walk where your dog can have a good run around. There is a well maintained toilet and shower block with underfloor heating and laundry facilities. For those who like angling, the stars of the show are two rather lovely fishing lakes which are very well stocked with Rudd, Roach, Perch, Bream, Chub, Tench and Carp. Fishing on the River Cripps and River Bure is also available. And if you have canoes, explore the river from the water and enjoy the abundance of wildlife; look out for kingfishers, buzzards, otters and wild deer among other things. Along with the wild animals to spot, there are also lots of farm animals for the kids to meet here, including cows, pigs and lambs in the spring. There is so much to explore and enjoy in the local area, from Victorian seaside towns, medieval villages, stunning beaches, miles of rural countryside full of wildlife and nature trails, the gorges and caves of the Mendips and the lovely cities of Wells and Bath. The location of Cripps Farm is incredible for exploring all of Somerset’s gems, but relaxing at the campsite might just be all the holiday you need, it really is a lovely spot. Especially with the news that this year sees the opening of Cripps River Spa, a little haven of tranquility right on the campsite, offering a sauna, hot tub (with stunning views across the countryside of course), a treatment room and all round blissful relaxation.
