There are a number of peaceful walks around the campsite’s surrounding fields, including a long enclosed walk where your dog can have a good run around. There is a well maintained toilet and shower block with underfloor heating and laundry facilities. For those who like angling, the stars of the show are two rather lovely fishing lakes which are very well stocked with Rudd, Roach, Perch, Bream, Chub, Tench and Carp. Fishing on the River Cripps and River Bure is also available. And if you have canoes, explore the river from the water and enjoy the abundance of wildlife; look out for kingfishers, buzzards, otters and wild deer among other things. Along with the wild animals to spot, there are also lots of farm animals for the kids to meet here, including cows, pigs and lambs in the spring.

There is so much to explore and enjoy in the local area, from Victorian seaside towns, medieval villages, stunning beaches, miles of rural countryside full of wildlife and nature trails, the gorges and caves of the Mendips and the lovely cities of Wells and Bath.
