Set in the heart of the rural Blackmore Vale this natural and peaceful site is relaxed and pleasant. Over 70 stunning acres. Ideally situated as a short stopover being just a couple of minutes from the A30, midway between Sherborne & Shaftesbury and right on the border of Dorset and Somerset. It is an ideal place to stay as a base to tour the local area. We have 4 interesting lakes/large ponds on site all containing a variety of fish. Only one lake is suitable for carp/pleasure fishing. Our amenity lake contains lots of pretty ornamental fish and is home to a variety of wildfowl. Over the last few years no less than 52 different species of birds have been counted on these premises. Our clubhouse is comfortable and contains a well-stocked bar and restaurant for breakfasts & lunches. When you stay with us we like to meet and get to know you. You are most welcome to come in and join in with our local customers. We have a raised sundeck area to watch the world go by and the cooler and sometimes shady beer garden to relax in also. We try not to have too many rules & regulations and feel that we have plenty of camping space for everyone.
