Barns Campsite

Sorry we are now closed for the rest of 2021 and will be until further notice. During the winter months we worked hard to make some fantastic improvements to our site. We improved the drainage on the site and are so happy to say that there were no puddles to be seen. Ewan’s work on the excavator has paid off. We purchased a commercial play park for the children with some swings, a slide and a climbing frame. This has proven very popular and is placed on the campsite in a securely fenced off area to keep those little ones safe. The new building, shelter has saved many a drowned camper, brought families together over a game of cards and shared the sunset with shared BBQ’s on long summer nights. The bothy has a south facing terrace overlooking our nature pond and the surrounding hills. There is seating inside and I truly hope this can be a relaxing meeting point for fellow guests. Additional tree planting around the site that will provide shade and improve the beauty of the site overall is an ongoing project. Rolling into spring of 2021 we are very pleased to announce that the campsite opened on Monday 26th April. This slight delay to opening is due to ongoing government COVID restrictions. The campsite had a very positive 2020 season and guests enjoyed the relative freedom from COVID that an open countryside environment can offer. All facilities are open and we ask that guests respect COVID distancing and their fellow campers. Coronavirus Update We are taking bookings - see our opening dates below.
