The Colwyn River runs through the site, allowing nature lovers the opportunity to spot an otter or a trout. Other local wildlife abounds, drawn by the diverse range of plants in the forest. You can also catch a train on the Welsh Highland Railway to Caernarfon and connections to Porthmadog or follow the footpath along the banks of the Glaslyn River to Beddgelerts most famous historic feature: Gelerts Grave.
