Jersey, Channel Isles, Channel Islands
The Channel Islands Military Museum is housed in a bunker that is 10.5cm was built straight into the sea wall! Being displayed in just one of Hitler's former Atlantic Wall defences assists people to get a feeling that's true those dark days of the 1940s.The museum is full of collections of army memorabilia including guns and medical equipment and has model scenes and personal tales that will help you picture how things were. There are tunnels and rooms to explore and it is much larger than it looks from the exterior, but also on a warm time the tunnels are chilly so pack some jumpers! It can take a little while to get round if the children are older and thinking about all of the detail, less if they're little and simply wish to peek and move onwards, but luckily there's plenty of neat out-of-doors material to savor locally which means you've returned ups plans right there.
