The entire area is a walker's paradise with its scenic beauty. Literary associations with famous artists are everywhere - from Wordsworth at Dove Cottage in Grasmere to Beatrix Potter at Sawrey. Another interesting excursion for the artistically inclined would be the Potter Gallery in the Main Street at nearby Hawkshead. The caravan site also gives you easy access to fun water activities at Windermere plus sailing, canoeing and windsurfing at Coniston. In addition, plenty of flat cycling can be enjoyed nearby.
