We are an independently run 40 acre campsite & fishery, set in AONB within the Shropshire hills. The site is a mixture of meadows, woodland, brooks and lakes. There are public footpaths and bridleways leading to and from the site and a 10 minute drive from the pubs, cafés, restaurants and supermarket of the local town of Church Stretton, and the popular and heathery hills of the Carding Mill Valley.. A 30 minute drive will allow you access to multiple attractions such as Ludlow Castle, Ironbridge, St Laurence's Church, Ludlow, Stokesay castle, Ludlow race course, Attingham park, Clun castle, Hopton Castle, Wenlock Edge (an 18 mile stretch of woodland) and many other attractions. We have 3 fishing lakes, suitable for all skill levels - species include multiple variety of carp up to 20lbs+, Sturgeon up to 20lbs+, bream, perch, roach, trout and gudgeon. Open fires are permitted and actively encouraged, free firepits provided and firewood available to purchase at competitive prices on site (please do not bring your own). Additional activities and amenities on site include a wild swimming lake (kayaking, paddle boarding etc), ira rifle range and rifle hire, childrens electric quad bike hire, play area including trampoline, swings, slide etc, onsite shop selling camping essentials and fishing goods (including baits) rod hire and tuition also available upon request (tuition subject to availability). We have several shower and toilet blocks, multiple water points and washing facilities. There is also a communal charging point available FOC for charging phones, ipads etc Groups welcome - if your group is larger than our maximum occupancy, please contact us directly. Please note there is no hot water on site (with the exception of the showers) and guests are required to bring their own toilet paper.
