Merkadle CL is conveniently located in central Skye and is ideal as a touring base for the whole of the Island. In addition to this, less than a mile away in Carbost village is the world famous Talisker Distillery. Also in the village there is the Old Inn, a small shop (with petrol pumps and Calor Gas) and the village Post Office. The site is on a working croft which has a number of Highland cattle which can be viewed. Fishing can also be arranged. The Cuillin mountains are nearby and the famous Fairy Pools are only 4 miles away. All pitches are hardstanding with electric hook up.
