Chesterfield, North East Derbyshire, England
touch down at Moor Farm Pop-up Campsite. A working farm with mown hayfield pitches, a livery yard and ducks, sheep and pigs, this site will whisk things nicely back to basics. Here, you’ll be well-situated to explore the Peak District, as it’s a five-minute drive to the edge of the national park. What to do first? Well, after you’ve dug through the welcome pack with locally-grown produce, perhaps you’ll want to take one of the scenic walks around the countryside directly from the site. A stop at a nearby farm shop or tearoom? Or, if you’re raring to go, you might want to dive straight into the Peak District. If so, Bakewell is 20 minutes’ drive away (get your hands on Bakewell pudding) and Chatsworth House is 20 minutes away too (how about a picnic in the grounds?) If you’re after some peace and quiet after an active day out, no need to worry as guests are asked to keep the noise down after 10pm. Handily, if you’ve brought along your dog too, there’s a dog walk on site where they may stretch their legs before settling down. Hunting down somewhere to eat? The scenic village of Ashover (five minutes’ drive) has three splendid pubs, all serving food and real ales. A little further away, Matlock (10 minutes’ drive) is another scenic spot to eat out. Handily, there's also a post office within five minutes' drive of the site. Site type 50 Languages spoken ✓ English Share this site Share page via Facebook Share page via Email
