Welcome to Big Barn Camping, a small beautiful eco friendly campsite with just 10 individual well-separated camping pitches, 2 beautiful luxurious Glamping Domes and 3 Little Barn camping Pods. Lower Cresswell is a Georgian farm set in 36 acres of beautiful pastures, and ancient woodland, with Herdwick sheep, Welsh and Saddleback pigs, goats, and a range of chickens and waterfowl. From the camping paddock you have breathtaking views stretching over the Carmarthenshire countryside. with regular sightings of red kites and other birds of prey, so why not sit back, chill out and relax until nightfall when the true magic begins and let the Astronomer in you find your favourite constellations, watch shooting stars to make a wish upon whilst toasting marshmallows on your campfire. The camping paddock is situated next to the big Dutch barn which dates back to the 1950s with the Big Barn is the heart of the campsite and houses all the facilities, hot showers, sinks and honesty shop. We are taking bookings - see our opening dates below. Toilet and shower facilities are now permitted to be open - please contact us for further details. will be given a recycling bucket to sort and deposit waste in the correct recycling bins located at the Big Barn. Little Barn Camping Pods Our handmade little Barn camping pods are the ideal retreat for a relaxing break away. Camping Paddock The camping paddock is nestled in the hills of the Carmarthenshire countryside, situated in 4 acres, so with only 10 camping pitches this means lots of room for everyone. Each pitch is individually cut so you have your own designated area with plenty of space between any neighbours. You have a picnic bench and fire pit and there is no hire charge for these items, unlike some camp sites. Campervans and tear drop caravans are welcome. PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE TOURING CARAVANS AT PRESENT. Campfires Campfires are allowed on all pitches for you to enjoy the real outdoor experience. Please be mindful of your safety and others around you. Fire wood is available to purchase. Nearby Attractions Located near to Laugharne Township the home of poet Dylan Thomas. A short journey away from popular beaches at Pendine sands, Saundersfoot and Tenby and many more local hidden beaches.
