Stanton Lakes Touring Caravan site - Rural, Peaceful & Picturesque The Touring Caravan Site @ Stanton Lakes operates from an elevated position on the site overlooking the lake & surrounding countryside. The site has reduced the number of pitches to 11, each with unmetered electric hook up. On site there is a chemical toilet waste disposal point, a fresh water point & bin area. The shower & toilet facility is currently closed and will remain so for the foreseeable future and therefore we are not taking any tent bookings. Hard-standing pitches are only available during the winter months. The quiet site offers a lovely walk around the lake & wildlife pool with coffee & drinks available in the bar & outside on the decked terrace overlooking the lake. Restaurant bookings will resume when the restaurant re- opens, hopefully by August 2020. The lake is currently hosting Open Water Swimming twice a week in the summer with a booking in system in operation; Hinckley Canoe Club is with us on Thursday evenings in summer with a currently reduced operation & all year round weekly Remote Controlled Model Yacht Sailing sessions- all quiet pastimes, some to enjoy or to watch. Some Sundays see racing on the Remote Stock Car track adjacent to the car park, which adds a bit of excitement.
