# Parc Slip Nature Reserve

> The Wildlife Trustof South & West Wales The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales is one of 47 Wildlife Trusts across the UK. We are the fourth largest in area, covering from Cardiff and Caerphilly in the east to Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire in the west.

Parc Slip Nature Reserve is a lovely 300 acre wildlife website which has been restored from a previous cast coal mine that is open. The book has paths being numerous habitats such as for instance grassland and woodland where you could hunt for butterflies and dragonflies, and lots of bird hides overlooking wetlands where you are able to spot birds. There is a cycle that is traffic-free running through the book where the young ones may bring their bikes and learn in safety. Wildlife-friendly dogs are welcome in the reserve! Once you have explored the book it is possible to head back towards the Visitor Centre (stopping to look for tadpoles into the dipping ponds on the road!) and possess a drink that is hot cake in the cafe, then look at the Discovery place upstairs where exhibitions and wildlife films take show. Quizzes and colouring sheets are available for learning through play. Head back towards the restaurant to look at the wildlife gift ideas available for sale to collect and remind you of your wildlife down day! Wildlife tasks for young ones are available all round through the Wildlife Watch team, which fulfills every other Saturday from 10am to 12pm year. These include bug searching, pond dipping, bat walks and bird watching. Please contact by email for more info.
