We would love to welcome you to our peaceful campsite situated in the beautiful North Cotswold village of Whichford, near the Warwickshire, Oxfordshire, Gloucestershire, and Worcestershire borders. We are in the Heart of England, in the middle of everywhere, just over an hour from the M25. Come and share this special place, and experience the peace of the historic land and the sounds of nature. We have a range of glamping accommodations. Enjoy stargazing the dark night sky, and watching meteor showers without light pollution. Sit in our stone circle, said by dowsers to emit high amounts of electromagnetic energy! Cotswolds Camping at Holycombe is designated a quiet campsite and is specifically for the use of customers who appreciate its quietness. Please note we have strict planning permission conditions which we must adhere to, visitors found breaking the rules will be asked to leave. No Children under the age of 12 are allowed to stay on the site and no unaccompanied teenagers.
Accommodation types
- Yurt Yasmin — We are extremely pleased to launch Yurt Yasmin - the newest edition to our glamping collection. Yasmin comes equipped with a wood-burning stove and comfy double bed, as well as a sofa and kitchenette. It is decorated in an ethnic style with kelim rugs and wall hangings. The kitchenette area comes with an electric hob, kettle, fridge, running water and sink, as well as utensils, pots, pans and crockery. It has everything you will need for a relaxing getaway. It doesn't have central heating, but the wood-burning stove will keep you cosy and warm and there is an electric heater should you need it. Yurt Yasmin comes with a sofa too so you can relax with a hot drink by the wood-burner, as well as outside seating and your own fire pit. It's in a great spot by the water and you have your own secluded area of the campsite.
- Blackcurrant Bell Tent — Our Bell Tent Blackcurrant is back up for the Summer. Blackcurrant lives on the far side of the campsite near Yurt Yasmin. Head past the stone circle and over the bridge, you will see Blackcurrant under the poplars to your left. They are attractively furnished with wooden bases, rugs, cushions, sofa, torch and lanterns and each one has a double futon with a memory foam mattress. There is a wood burner for the colder evenings and an electric supply, as well as a fire basket just outside where you can have a bbq or have a fire and gaze at the stars. We supply fresh bedding. You will have use of the heated glamping bathroom. You will have use of the heated glamping bathroom and access to the fridge/freezer outside the camping kitchen.
- Hawthorne Bell Tent — Hawthorn is situated by the stone circle and near the water. Hawthorne - which has the option of a super king double bed or twin - please specify in notes which are preferred at checkout. They are attractively furnished with wooden bases, rugs, cushions, sofa, torch, lanterns, and each one has a double futon with brand new memory foam mattresses. We also supply 2 of all crockery - knives, fork, plates, bowls, and a frying pan and sauce pan which can be used on the fire. We have installed a wood burner for the colder evenings or we have our handmade fire basket just outside where you can have a bbq or just gaze at the stars. We have also recently had sets of picnic tables made lovingly by our on-site carpenter. We supply fresh bedding. You will have shared use of the heated glamping bathroom for toilet/shower, this is about a 2 min walk.
- Yurt Yami — Spend a night in our wonderful large 16ft (5m) Yurt, with a double bed, and wood burning stove. The yurt is simply and attractively furnished. The yurt has a double bed and futon setup as a chair. The Yurt also has a private en-suite for your private use. The new en-suite is fitted with a hot shower, flush loo and sink and is right next to the Yurt! Inside Yurt Yami we have a wood burning stove, a beautiful Indian wall hanging, kelim rug and bedside tables. There is a sink with hot running water, a kettle and basic kitchen equipment. It has a 2 ring electric hob and a small fridge. It is insulated and has central heating and electricity so is as cosy in winter as in summer. The Yurt has it's own private fire basket with a grill. Outside there is a small decking area with bistro table and chairs. You will be located close by to the campsite facilities, including the kitchen which is equipped with pans, crockery and utensils, loos and showers. We provide fresh bedding.The Yurt pricing is for 2 people. The Yurt has a double bed and one futon bed which is generally used as a chair but can be arranged into a single bed upon request. Amenities include WiFi and Electricity.
- Airstream Ana — Airstream Ana is situated in a quiet corner of our peaceful campsite. It has been totally rebuilt and refurbished and has everything you need for a romantic getaway, a relaxing weekend with friends or just some time alone. It is cosy in Winter too as it has both central heating and a wood burner. The 1960’s Silver Bullet is 6.2m long and 2.2m wide. It is self-contained with a sink (hot and cold running water) gas oven and hob, under counter fridge and pots, pans, crockery, utensils and cutlery. There is a flush loo, shower and basin with hot and cold running water. It is a short walk away from the camping kitchen, and glamping bathroom and situated perfectly to watch the sunset at the table outside. It has a double bed shut off by a thick curtain and the other end there is a cosy seating area with dining table and woodburner which can be made into another double bed. There is a chest of drawers and a wardrobe. Outside there is a table and benches and a firepit where you can sit and take in the beautiful views across the valley and hear the sounds of nature. We provide fresh linen for the bed.
- Yurt Yara — Yurt Yara is the newest addition to our Glamping range and our third Yurt. We think this one will be loved by all. Yara is the biggest of our 3 Yurts and is 17ft wide and comes with a king size bed. It is right on the moat with decking just outside the door so you can sit by the moat and watch the world go by. We have fitted a mini kitchen with a gas stove, sink with hot and cold water, a fridge with small freezer compartment and the necessary utensils to cook your own food. There is a table and 2 chairs for you to sit inside the Yurt too. The hand made king size bed comes with a brand new memory foam mattress. You can light a fire in the wood-burning stove to keep you warm and cosy on a colder evening, there is also a wicker sofa at the end of the bed to sit and enjoy the warmth of the fire. Come and have a magical weekend with us at Cotswolds Camping! We also sell bags of logs if you would like us to supply them, alternatively you are welcome to bring your own. Logs can be purchased from the campsite shop online or bring cash and pay into our honesty box. Yurt Yara currently has access to our heated glamping bathroom behind the cafe, this is shared with other glampers who do not have an en-suite. Although Yara is probably our nicest Yurt, it is about a 2/3 minute walk to the bathroom and this is reflected in it being a lower priced glamping option.
- Little Dutch — Our Little Dutch is the newest addition to our Glamping range. It started life as a wendy house but has been renovated and extended into a beautiful rustic mini barn with a wood-burning stove, electricity, mini kitchen and seating. Now featuring a private bathroom for Little Dutch guests sole use, with hot shower, toilet and sink. We have fitted a mini kitchen with a gas stove, along with a fridge and the necessary utensils to cook your own food. The double bed comes with a brand new memory foam mattress. You can light a fire in the wood-burning stove to keep you warm and cosy on a colder evening and failing that we have also included an oil heater if you need it (although we're sure the wood-burning stove will be enough) We also sell bags of logs if you would like us to supply them, alternatively you are welcome to bring your own. Logs can be purchased from the campsite shop or bring cash and pay into our honesty box.
- Gypsy Caravan Carmen — Positioned in its own secluded corner of the quiet and pretty camping field, you can either sit outside watching nature go by, enjoying your own private handmade fire pit, or light the wood burner and get cosy in the caravan. The pull out bed is a little smaller than a normal double so we recommend this to couples who don’t mind snuggling up together, or to people on their own. The measurements of the bed are 6ft1 long and 4ft wide. A little step is provided for getting into the bed and a certain degree of agility is necessary. There is power if you should want it and a lamp. The camping kitchen is closed and is now a small takeaway café, but we have added a small kitchen unit outside the Gypsy for your sole use with utensils, gas stove (gas provided), cutlery, etc. There is an electric kettle in the Gypsy you can use, as well as a cold drinking water tap. There is a private firepit just outside the Gypsy and a table and chairs for you to enjoy eating on or simply taking in the lovely surroundings. We supply fresh bedding.
