With over 15 years of welcoming guests, we believe that Larkhill Tipis and Yurts offers a truly unique glamping experience. As soon as you turn off the road you will be met with breathtaking panoramic views over the Welsh countryside. Our Tipis and Yurts are set on the edge of an enchanting four acre woodland, each having its own secluded spot. Quirky stepping stones and fairy lights lead the way through the trees, providing a magical family adventure or a romantic escape for couples. Our family run glamping site also prides itself as providing an eco-friendly and sustainable holiday with a focus on our guests enjoying the nature and the wildlife that surrounds it. We are set in a wonderful location - within easy reach by car of Cardigan Bay and Carmarthen Bay. The list of sandy beaches is long, as well as there being plenty of other glorious scenery, activities and days out for the kids.
Accommodation types
- The Tipi — There's nothing quite like the woodburning stove at night with the flames flickering to create a warm, comfortable and relaxing atmosphere, far from the pressures of the world. Having started our glamping site with Tipis in 2003 we still consider it the most wonderful structure! Decorated with Native American patterns, the Tipi is heated with a woodburning stove (with a fireguard). This accommodation sleeps four with one double and two single beds. Blankets with Native American designs create a lovely ambience and large cushions and bean bags are also provided for that extra comfort. There is a chest full of extra blankets, a two ringed gas camping stove and all of your cooking equipment – pans, plates, kettle, mugs and cutlery. Lighting is provided and hanging lanterns help to create a warm and exceptionally cosy atmosphere. We also supply firelighters and a good supply of chopped, dry and seasoned hardwood in a basket. **What you need to bring** - Towels for the shower - Your own food - A torch - Bedding (although we can supply bedding at an additional charge of £20 per stay. - The Alachigh — Set a little apart from the rest of the campsite you will have your own tranquil private area. There is also an outdoor campfire area with table and seating. The Alachigh is eight meters in diameter and has an oak breakfast bar which allows you to soak up the stunning view across the Teifi Valley. In the centre is a wood-burning stove surrounded by a fitted fireguard. There are four single beds and one double - bedding is available at prior request at an additional charge. Sheepskins, rugs, colourful throws, pillows, cushions and soft lighting adorn the Alachigh for that extra comfort, with drapes between the beds for a little privacy. There is also a sofa bed/settee, a large coffee table/chest (which contains plenty of extra blankets), three bedside tables, a cooking area which contains a gas hob, cooking equipment and all the crockery and cutlery you could possibly want! - The Bentwood Yurt — With its tall roof this yurt feels very spacious. Furnished with warm tones contrasting to the ivory lining - a cosy and homely feeling awaits you. The Bentwood yurt has a wood-burning stove which gives out plenty of heat, even in the depths of winter, and is furnished with three pine beds - two singles and a double. The beds are adorned with throws, pillows and cushions - together with a chest full of blankets if it gets a little cold. There is a gas hob and all the cooking equipment, utensils and crockery you could need. Soft lighting, sheepskins and rugs create a comfortable and superb place to relax and unwind from the chaos that is the world today! **What you need to bring** - Towels for the shower - Your own food - A torch - Bedding (although we can supply bedding at an additional charge of £20 per stay. - The Lavvu — Unusual accommodation for the discerning traveller! The Lavvu is similar to a Tipi in shape, incorporates a crown like a yurt and has a wonderfully unique cocoon-like feel to it. Furnishings include a double bed and two singles - with colourful throws, cushions, sheepskins and rugs creating a warm ambience. With an easy to use central wood burning stove and a basket of firewood - ready and waiting for your arrival. There is a dining table and a storage chest full of blankets in case it gets a little cold during the night. The Lavvu also has a gas hob and all the cooking equipment, utensils and crockery you could need! Outside there is a private campfire area, seating and a picnic bench - perfect for a spot of outdoor cooking or roasting some marshmallows! **What you need to bring** - Towels for the shower - Your own food - A torch - Bedding (although we can supply bedding at an additional charge of £20 per stay. - Mongolian Ger — In its own private setting this is a very cosy and warm yurt. The Ger has a central wood-burning stove and is furnished with three raised pine beds - one double and two singles. The beds are decorated with colourful throws and cushions creating a wonderfully warm ambience. Pillows are provided - bedding can be supplied at extra charge - and we supply a chest full of blankets if it gets a little cold. There is a gas hob inside the Ger with all the cooking equipment, utensils and crockery you could need. You will have a basket of firewood for every day of your stay and there is also a private campfire just outside the Ger (perfect for outdoor cooking!) as well as a picnic bench.
