It brings the family closer together by participating in an active outdoor pursuit. It is never too late for parents to learn how to surf, and what a better way to learn than with your children! We run family surf group lessons on a daily basis, but require the children to be above 8 years old. Families Surf Together We run small group sizes with a maximum ratio of 6 students to 1 instructor. This is to ensure that everyone receives loads of personal attention from the instructors. Parents should also be aware that if you go on a lesson with your children, the instructors will remain in shallow water to ensure the safety of your children. Side By Side Lessons Another option would be for a parent (or two!) to go on an adult lesson and the children in a kids lesson, with the lessons being side-by-side each other. This could be more beneficial to the adults and children as they would be in surf groups closer to their age group and ability level. Rock Climbing We provide quality and experienced climbing instruction in the beautiful Burren for all levels. Whether youre a complete novice or an advanced climber, we can cater for all your climbing needs! With a large number of indoor climbing walls developing around the country, there is an increasing interest in trying it out on the real thing. Our experienced instructors set the standard of climbing to a suitable level for you, no matter what your age, ability or confidence level is when it comes to heights. The Burren climbing area is beautiful, with amazing cliffs and spectacular views, and we provide all of the equipment. So why not come climbing and try abseiling in the heart of the Burren! No experience needed All equipment and instruction provided Climb and abseil in the beautiful Burren All levels catered for Experienced coaches with over 15 years climbing Kayaking Tours Take a tour down the river in Ennistymon with a qualified instructor. We will transport you from our centre in Lahinch onto the river in Ennistymon for a 2 hour trip. All equipment is provided including wetsuit and buoyancy aid. Kayak tours and rentals are available year round when conditions allow. Stand Up Paddle Boarding Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP) is a traditional Hawaiian sport that has grown in popularity here over the past few years. Its a great workout that promotes balance, strength and general fitness while being fun at the same time! Enjoy a SUP on calmer days on Lahinch Bay or take a trip on the river in Ennistymon. Group lessons available and SUPs are also available to rent. Indoor Climbing We offer lessons for all levels from beginners to experienced and for those nervous of heights why not try to conquer your fears! We provide all equipment and our instructors are fully qualified. The wall is a mix of bouldering and roped climbs to suit all abilities. The bouldering area includes 15, 30, 45 degree walls with a full archway, interesting angles, corners and a full overhang. Climbing tower includes 8 routes with a range of ropes, from 4a through to 7b, with roughly 25 different colour defined routes. Archery Archery is an excellent activity for everyone from individuals, families, stag & hens, post wedding parties, and kids parties. We provide a number of different bows for various ability levels. Our archery sessions are now run indoors in our adventure centre based right on The Promenade in Lahinch. So you can try your hand at archery no matter what the weather!
